Don't like to see rumours of discontent regarding our manager of 4 months.

He's had to take over Nigel Clough's average squad (baring a couple of gems) and has largely been unable to build his own squad so far.

He's only been able to sign a couple permanently ( one of whom is our top scorer) and had had to wait 4 months to be able to get much needed central defensive cover in.

It's not like he plays the kind of utterly negative durge that Clough served up week in week out with his backwards and negative mindset.

We need to hold our nerve and stick by this one. He's PROVEN that he's got the measure of this league.

Stand by him fellow Blades, the problems we have as a club stem from those higher up in the club and certainly aren't the fault of the manager.

Back him, don't let the incompetent fools that run the club feel they need to sack him.

Was thinking of the same thread Pete, we appear to have the right man, wrong owners, and a team of players which clearly can't play to the required standard, hope he rips this team in two at the end of the season, packs the shite off, and for a certain player who got a new contract, gives him a free transfer this summer.

On current form playoffs are where we will be, we could go on a run I know, but does this team as it stands look capable of that at present...

We need to support Adkins... At any cost, we need to do it right, the owners need to spend big now and take an achieving team up, or else we'll be straight down...

I don't usually get drawn into this sort of stuff, but I can see why most people on here accuse you of being an S6 pig, you think other clubs would be sacking the manager, with the team in sixth place and still the rest of the season ahead of us?

We still have those weaknesses this far into the season and we aren't that prolific in the attacking area either. So overall I would say NA "must do better"

I don't care how it would be looked at in this day and age, it would be a ridiculous thing to do. David Weir had to go as we were bottom of the table. Getting rid of Danny Wilson when we did was puzzling. Getting rid of Adkins at this point of the season???

Whilst I agree he's made some errors, we're hugely prolific in attacking areas.

Prior to his signing, I had a real man crush on him from his Southampton days. That has not waned since, between the more attacking football and the way he does media he still seems the best option. We've still almost 3/4 of a season left, the results will come.

The stats don't lie, having a poor game today doesn't alter the fact that Billy Sharp is joint third best striker at present in our league.
