RIP Haward, fantastic manager, thoughts are with family.

RIP Howard, who knows where Sheffield United Football Club would be now, had he stayed longer.

RIP - His era was the first time I heard 'pass and move' shouted by a player at the Lane.

My first season down at the lane was the 96/97 season. Good times and just a shame we didn't manage it in the final. The man who brought Fjortoff to the Lane.

RIP

Sad news, I'll raise a glass to him tonight.

Here he is in action, on the right.

Sad news. RIP Howard.
Probably the best football seen in his short time at the lane since the seventies. Favorite memory - Patterson to Whitehouse to Veart. Blades 1: Arsenal 0 in the cup.
That was the start of a great undefeated run up the table from bottom. Great memories.

I remember a midweek game and there was a rumour going round that Cowans and Don had been out on the lash the night before. Cowans was red-faced for the first 45 minutes and had to go off at half time. Don chucked his guts up before putting a corner in.

i was really shocked to hear Howard Kendall's passing. admittedly im going off other peoples stories because his time at utd was ending as i starting supporting us, with my 1st game i remember as 7yr old that play off final which we lost in last min. but he's a loved guy all his clubs glad ive got tuesday off so i can attend fleetwood at lane

shows Howard Kendall quality that he's still last English manager to win a Euro competition with an English club which i cant see being beaten for a while

I'm sure a few here will have been at the first game at Ipswich. Bit of an eye opener and people played out of position, Blake off at H/T. Assembled a tidy side to stave off relegation. Remember going to Leicester and beating them and the locals weren't happy. Thank you Howard Kendall for treating us to seeing Gordon Cowans

I remember the 1st home game that season,an exciting 4-4 v Birmingham,3 days later a 4-1 win v the pigs(steel city challenge trophy!)
Happy days
Rip Howard

The latter end of his reign, the football was clueless and absolutely terrible.
Then his beloved blue scouse lover came calling.

I hope Everton batter Man United for him today.
RIP
