[Firstly I'm not sure if i've posted this in the correct forum, it is a summary of this season but also a farewell to the forum]

Just thought I'd create a thread explaining my final thoughts on this season and to let you know I won't be posting again, just incase anyone wonders why I've stopped from now on (not that anyone will, or care for that matter)

Since I joined up here all it has ever been is an outlet for my many, and longstanding frustrations with the way this club operates in most of what it does, or attempts to do.

I have voiced my opinions loud and clear on the board, the managers mistakes so far and just generally the obstinate mindset of the powers that be. The mindset that has sustained such a fantastic club in such a loathsome division for so long.

I have voiced them to the specific point where most frequent posters and readers will be aware. And as a result, although they are my honest view points, and there's a certain level of satisfaction that my views are able to be expressed, beyond that I'm struggling to see much reason in continually making incredibly negative posts on a forum.

With regards to this season, my gut feeling, however negative, is that the squad assembled by Clough just hasn't changed nearly as much as it would need to in order to mount a serious attempt at promotion. Unless Che Adams accelerates his development rapidly, the players coming back from injury improve their game considerably, and we show incredible levels of ambition in January, then I would say the play-off places is about the best that can be hoped for.

I'm sure many will commence their individual celebrations at the prospect of me leaving the forum, and will accompany them with many witty comments expressing their joy.

Side note: Foxy, Linz, can you delete accounts?

I've pretty much lost all hope in the club and the way it's run, but that won't ever stop me continuing to attend the matches in the hope that one day we will see the club sort itself out and finally start rising the divisions, to a destination a great club like this deserves to be.

Hopefully there's at least a few who agreed with my opinions. Anyway, farewell S24SU.:)

As Haddaway once sang...

Please don't go.

That was the best lead up to a sex change since hirsty off capital FM.

barnyblade will be rejoining (once her hormone therapy has settled down a bit) as barnettablade

I'm proud of you barnyblade we'll support you through this amazing phase of your life!

Good luck!

Is vaginal sand removal available on the NHS now?

Barny, there'll always be something that pops up that you'll really want to comment on in the future. Not worth deleting an account. Just have a break from it. If anything should be deleted it's this thread!
Agreed, he'll surely get the drunken rage one night and post pissed, resulting in an infraction :)

He'll have to go some to top Highbury_Blade 's late night, alco-pop fulled tirade at Len on the old BU. Quality stuff, especially on that forum. We haven't had a good pissed up rage for ages. I think brownie 's Somalian rant was the last good one I can remember.

I know Ricky, that's why I want the account deleted so it removes the temptation.

P.S I know it came across a tad dramatic, wasn't really intending on that if i'm honest I just have a habit of rambling.
Sure as hell I know about it now though don't I with the amount of shit I've got. xD

Can't say I wasn't expecting it though. Cue the 'are you back already?' comments. I can see every reply a mile off on here, I tell thee.

It's quite predictable.

Cheers Barny, I think you are making the right decision leaving the Forum. I also honestly believe you should give up on United with the views you have and the emotions you have.

The Forum is not your problem, it's your contempt for the club and it would be better for the club and for yourself if you found another hobby. Match-days must be hell for you and if you find a more worthy pastime it will help your karma.

I've nearly packed it in many times over the past 60 years and have often wondered what life is like without United. Forum participation cranks up personal interest and the merits of that are definitely questionable. Football and being a Blade are like an addiction and an obsession which usually take more than they give.

No, please, if you so unhappy, just go.

Glad you don't do voluntary work for the Samaritans.
