So the blame is getting laid at the door of a single player who had a shocking game in Jay McEveley, but yet anyone who watched the Blades last season who knows the slightest bit about football will have known that Jay McEveley is nowhere near the standard that we require, yet we have had all summer to source a replacement, and since the day we flogged Murphy we have had more than sufficient funds to replace McEveley, so can anyone please give me a cogent and adequate answer to why on gods fucking earth he still plies his trade as a footballer for Sheffield United?

His Manager's a scouser?

To add insult to injury before the game James Wallace and Jose Baxter watzed through the International Bar - couldn't give the kids enough time for an autograph !

This must be one for Jimbo to sort

I would send em back on Tuesday night ......................

No we didn't have a bad day at the office - Bury out thought us, out manouvred us, and struck the killer blows when it mattered !
Today, Sharp and Sammon were very poor up front - whilst it was a great save by their keeper in the first half Sammon should have buried it - Thats why he is on loan to us rather than fighting for a first team berth at Derby !
McEverely was at fault for two goals - lets face it the guy is just not good enough !

When asked about his suspension Baxter hadn't the decency to apologise for his actions just 'Hoping to be selected on Tuesday ...................Tosser!!! Wouldn't be bothered if he never played again for the Blades ! As for Wallace ........ a crock !! get rid as soon as possible !
But not good enough today......... hope Mr adkins has taken note .......... these guys are not good enough for automatic promotion ... Woolford is certainly not good enough, Sammon seems to be missing easy chances and Billy Big Boots is not as good as he or Mr Adkins thinks he is !!!

We have an international bar now? Is that where players who get international call ups go for a drink?

A friend who was in line with their second 'wonder strike' said it got a deflection.

These international weekends are a pain in the arse and I don't agree LBofE, it didn't knacker us, it threw us off our stride.

And if United did look 'jaded' or 'tired' by the end of the game, it's nothing to do with their fitness. They were simply worn down by a few dozen thuggish 'challenges' and a ref. who totally refused to act.

No deflection! I was in line with that shot and it was a fantastic strike. It certainly did bend, but from the moment it left his foot it was always bound for the inside of the far post - just beyond Howard's fingertips.

I'm no fan of McEverley, but as soon as Sammon seemed to move away to the right of the scorer (Riley) he had too much room. Not sure McEverley or Howard can be blamed too much. It really was a quality shot from that spot. From there, 99 times out of 100 wouldn't succeed, but on this occasion....

To be fair to Wallace, he could probably get injured signing autographs.
I was a bit worried when Frenchie asked him to stand on the little stage (or in other words plinth) to have a word with the crowd !
Actually both Wallace and Baxter spoke like they have had a personality by pass !
Would have liked Frenchie to ask Baxter why he is such a dick !
Both of them shot out of the bar moving quicker than I have seen either of them move on the field ignoring several youngsters wanting their autograph - not impressed by either of them !
Jim Phipps trotted out 'reasons for inactivity' in the last days of the transfer window - same owd, same owd !

Not been today, but the stats on bbc website tells a different story I do appreciate that these don't reflect the result sometimes, and it's frustrating at times but Bury haven't lost in 14 matches so not to much of a surprise, I had us down for a 3-1 home win, not to be, bring on the next match and hopefully we will for once learn from our losses.
UTB
All of Bury's goals were defensive fukups from our lot IMO. Take a look at the video. First one was some schoolboy defending - Edgar, man, chuck yersen into line of fire, not a bloody half-arsed stick yer leg out!! Second one...close the player down, not run along side or in front of him! Third one... McEv demonstrating jumping ability of a brick...

As I thought at the game it wasn't a penalty the Bury player was outside the box our player fell into the box, why didn't K Wallace close their player down for the second goal, McEverley as weak as piss for the third.

Agree totally having seen the highlights, penalty was just outside the box, and I don't think JayMac was quite as much to blame as i thought for the 2nd - Kieron Wallace did fook all to get any kind of challenge in.

Yes seen them, schoolboy defending.
