While it's gone quiet for a while, no new rumours for the Blades, lets cast our minds to the rest of the country. What other deals look as if they're going to be done? Any competitors in League One strengthening? The unwashed? Any big moves in the premier league?

The Blades look like they're after Dan Burn and Dean Hammond. To me, the Zeki Fryers link is tedious and was a made up rumour by some Palace fan that everyone has jumped on, we won't sign him AND Burn. I know who I'd prefer, too.

Looks like Anthony Martial is today going to become the most expensive teenager ever, £36mil to Man United from Monaco. That looks like the most expensive deal of the day.
David De Gea's transfer looks to have fallen through after the documents were sent 'late'...
Wigan look to be signing very good player yet sicknote James Vaughan.
The Pigs want a number 9, a few players linked, Kermogant, McCormack, Rhodes, Vydra, Hooper - scattergun approach springs to mind... Desperation.

Keep it all on track here.

Not sure what the fuss is about Burn myself. I can't believe anyone has seen that many games he has played in to make an educated judgement.

Can we keep off other teams transfers, as I really don't give a **** what the pigs do

Very good defender, still only 23, won promotion with Yeovil, did well at Birmingham the following season and has played a number of games in the league above for Fulham. And he's 6 ft 7.

And no one's forcing you to read it :)

has he got any pace, can he play football? What's he like marking a little guy? is he better than what we have?

He's slow, but a good footballer. Infinite times better than what we have for me, barring Edgar. From what I've seen of him anyway. Seen him about 5/6 times in the flesh or on TV.

Fryers is a left back and we need one with Bob out for a few months.

Not sure I want another CB with no pace.

Not sure what I am concerned about though, as the likeliness is we are going to hear a new excuse today :(

I'm just going off the three times I saw him play against us for Yeovil the season they went up, and remember him being one of their standout players. Didn't see much of him while at Birmingham though.

I do remember him keeping Man Utd quiet at Old Trafford the season Fulham went down (0-0 I think?). Was it him who commented afterwards that United "played like a conference team" after they put in something like 80 odd crosses?

Must say looking at his stats he doesn't score many goals considering how tall he is

Burn - bid rejected. Sky sports reporter.

We go again, bid higher. Get him.

SHEFF UTD BID FOR BURN

Sheffield United have made a bid for Fulham's Dan Burn, according to Sky sources.

We understand it has not met Fulham's valuation and talks between the clubs over a deal remain ongoing.

So here how the day goes.....

Club makes bid
Club reject/accepts bid
If accepted, player talks, medical etc. Rejects/signs.
If rejected, forum goes into meltdown about how we never sign anyone, board is useless, boring age old jokes about fax machine and we are going to be relegated/spend 6th season in the third division.

Repeat above until 6 pm.

Deadline day.

Not sure what this bid accepted on Transfer Deadline day means? Is it a new idea?

Are you gong to feel a bit daft if we do?

Mind you, Were missing the shoutbox meltdowns so we might as well have one on here. :)

Where's Pommpey?

Spurs had a 45% sell on clause on Byrne so Swindon have received £550,000 plus any clauses. £1.5m+ for Murphy looks alot better value now, doesn't it?
But we are a selling club who always sell our best players. Didn't you know that. If you didn't, let me know and I'll point you in the direction of a couple of threads that prove it. :) He was our best player, wasn't he? Wasn't he?

That depends on your valuation of Murphy to the team or his valuation to be sold. There should be no problem in selling if you're going to improve other areas

Given Byrne's current deal ended next summer, not especially. I'm actually amazed, given the percentage sell-on, that they aren't simply keeping him on till the contract expires.

Because their bank manager will be saying thank you very much to the £500K they will be receiving.

Bob Harris is back in about 4/5 weeks they said last week before Fulham that he would be back in 6 weeks

I don't believe they have Liverpool style investment (sorry feeling a tad naughty)
