It's about time teams were scared of playing against our players instead of worrying about the opposition. Brilliant Blades!
To be fair, they were scared before kick off reading their fans views.

Fucking watch fucking Byrne's fucking winning fucking goal in the fucking first fucking leg and then fucking convince me Bob fucking Harris should have been twenty fucking yards up the fucking pitch.

What a fucking load of fucking shit.
you don't understand a full back's role in a team if you think he is suposed to camp on the edge of his eighteen yard line and no ammount of "fucking" overuse is going to disguise that

judge, although I digress, the overuse of "fucking" isn't to be mocked.

Have you not heard of that workman's statement - "The fucking fucker's fucking fucked"? It's the way a word normally associated with either everyday communication, or included in an aggressive context, can be employed to wonderfully demonstrative and creative effect. It takes pride of place in my vocabulary, alongside cunt, bollocks, and whatever else comes to mind.

Reasons to be cheerful? You fucking betcha.

Just as stupid as those that we're hailing him as a league one Messi.
The amount of space he was given last season was ridiculous, and he was never exploited by forcing him back using the space in behind him.
He might not be shit but he is isn't what he's been built up to be.

Maybe not but with the defensive showings we served up last season against Swindon with a similar back line nobody can really blame us!

WHF not going to get in a slanging match with you but Harris' performances in both play off games were shocking against Byrne. He gave him far too much time and space, he should have been reet up his arse, not giving him 20 yards. In Harris' defence I have wondered if he was under instructions from Clough to tuck in and help McEveley. Harris himself has got to know the best way to play a winger like that is to get close, get a foot in and don't let him front you up.

I like it too , its fatty foulkes who. Has took exception

As we can now surmise in view of his non-appearance so far this season, and subsequent surgery, there is a very real possibility that Bob was nowhere near 100% fit for the playoff games last season too. That may well have affected his ability to tackle, and/or keep pace with Byrne.

As to who's fault it was to play someone not 100% fit in such important games, I guess that's a thread on its own.
Thought he played v gillingham ?

If I can add my two penneth in this fucking debate. In the 1st 20 minutes of the 1st leg, Murphy was as a left hand sided forwarded as we had pushed both wingers up for the 1st time in Clough's time here. We then scored and we dropped back meaning Byrne could make runs going forward and not think about helping his own fullback out.

Youre talking fucking shit mate

Fucking hell, have you two been fucking hacked as well ?

I'm going mainly on Byrne's winner at the Lane and seeing that as fairly typical of what went on. I don't see that as Bob's fault. There's no midfielder within sight and he just gets run at from 20 yards. In fact, hang on a minute, I'm off to get a screenshot and draw an arrow. Back in a jiffy.

Right. There we go.

I can't see that it's Bob's job to cover that gap. That just leave space in behind. The midfielder (Murphy presumably) should be covering that space. He's not and Maradona, I mean Byrne, gets a free run, and Bob is isolated and made to look poor.

That's what I'm getting at.

It's similar in a way to what happened to Freeman at Peterborough. He was isolated against a tricky winger who turned him inside out and scored, but he should have had support.

That's the way I see it anyway.

]the guy with the ball is the right winger , Harris is the left back
Youre welcome

Frank Booth taught me all I know.

have to agree with Foulksy here. ooh can't criticise the 'player of the year'.. can't remember if he played tbh. as i said in another post 'i' could have beat him one on one with that much space to operate in
