3 months off fitness, by the time he's back to full form, our promotion bid could be over
Dramatic maybe, but I'd argue our promotion bid is already over mate. We didn't build enough in the summer, we didn't address the gaping holes at centre half. We looked to be going down the route of trying to out score the opposition instead. That worked well at Gillingham. We then sold our best player despite having desperate imbalance elsewhere in the squad too. I'd predict that we won't reinvest anywhere near adequately enough. A prediction based on buckets of recent evidence.
That's it then. Season over. Enjoy Meadowhall.
As per other thread, what is the evidence "that we won't reinvest near adequately enough".

Erm
We're still in division 3 five seasons in a row.
Struggling to understand what more evidence is required?
Have you just been defrosted, or what?
So that is evidence that the current board will not reinvest the money received?
So are they reinvesting or not?But re-investing in what? More dross?
Convenient that you missed off the phrase "adequately enough" from your previous statementSo that is evidence that the current board will not reinvest the money received?

So, yes, in that context it is evidence
3 of them are injured so if one picks up a knock today then what do we doNeed another centre back, full back and a midfielder. That's what the money should be spent on. Adams, Done, Woolford, JCR, Flynn.....not really worried about the wide areas.
So who decides if the player they are reinvesting in is adequate? You said there is evidence the board is not reinvesting, I said show me the evidence. You said "adequately enough", I say different argument.
You said
"As per other thread, what is the evidence "that we won't reinvest near adequately enough".
I said that the evidence is our fifth term in division three. Since the opposite of adequately enough would have resulted in us being in the championship.
I don't see where your difficulty is in understanding the context of what you posted.
(might help if you read back what you posted)

That's the managers job. And for once the board just appointed a good one.But re-investing in what? More dross?
Your evidence supports my accusation that we've appointed shit managers. We have clearly invested since the new regime came in. You should debate the quality of those investments desperately. You said

UTB
Aye, meant "separately "(spellchecker!)Did you mean desperately
AND for the record (AGAIN) it was moby that added the "adequately enough" element that made sure my evidence was appropriate.
Think if Done hadn't crocked himself at Matlock, he would have been pulling a Wigan shirt on today Mobile. So Done and Brayford were not adequate replacements for anything else we have in the squad at the moment (when fit).

True Mobile, was just sayingMaybe, maybe not but that was not the discussion![]()
