Can't beleave the over reaction to the sale of a good player for. a good fee.he is replaceable.
We want. a group of players who are. up for the fight murf definitely was nt, decent player but when it gets tough which it will and already has he does,nt want to know.
Gud.poste

Che and Done probably fill that void, but wouldn't it have been nice to have the option!?
It's not so much losing the player that has frustrated me the most, it's the optimism and excitement that's been stolen from our season already.Gillingham destroyed the hope of getting off to a flier, but this smack in the face to a big section of our fans has really set us back already in my opinion.

Fair point.

He's a good player, he was one of our best. But let's be honest, has he ever taken a game by the balls and won it for us when I really matters?

If we use the money to strengthen the squad I can deal with it.

Interesting timing isn't it?

Don't suppose anything like this can happen at a good time (unless of course you buy somebody decent and then bin off the lower level crud you wanted to replace :o)

Can't imagine what will happen when we get dicked by Chessie tomorrow

Their game plan is already set
Novak allus scored against us.
Saunders will be licking his lips now this has hit the fan b
Adkins has already warned our lads of their aerial threat.
We all know what to expect then?
:tumbleweed: <= that's the new emoty for Sammon and Sharp. They won't get any service whatsoever now.

We never replace anyone and we have never ever made the team better with a few signings after one of these blockbusters. Unfortunately we have different managers and chairman, however the culture still remains.

I'm still optimistic. We have the best manager we could have. I think if we get behind the team then the future's bright. We might even see Murph back at the Lane next season.

To be fair Foulksy. The day you lose your optimism will be the day the world ends.

If we win tomorrow, Che gets one of them from right wing, and we sign a center half with the money, then I'd go as far to say that things are back on track.
There's a few "ifs" in there though

Good job we have those new Riccarro seats on the side of the pitch. Will help greatly when the lads get a good spanking. :o

It's not the sale of Murphy the player that has upset most fans. It's that nobody has any confidence that the money will be reinvested in the team. Phipps says we didnt need or want to sell him. If this is true then we have an extra few million in the transfer market that we didnt think we'd have. would anybody place a bet on this money going into first team affairs though?

If we bring in 3 good players on the back of this sale you wouldn't see many complaining. Most don't believe this will happen though and with good reason. If we are hearing the same "we tried to get someone through the line but failed" when the window closes in a few weeks then we have our answer to whether we are once again being lied to

At least they got their season ticket money

Im struggling to understand why its such a big deal for some people, Murphy scored 21 goals in 122 appearances, for a player with number 9 on his shirt thats a rubbish return! He blew hot and cold from the off and more cold than hot in the last 6 months or so, If he real was one of our best players we really are in the brown sticky stuff! I for one think its the right time to get rid and free up a space for someone to step up to the plate (Adams) or bring in someone new. Murphy was getting stale, it was time for him to go, the number 9 is gone long live the new number 9 whoever it will be.
