More chance of James Dean signing.
"Mike? Mike? You're scaring me" is my favourite quote of his. Ever.
Could him and Douglas both arrive? Is there ANY truth to the rumours we're after Dean??! He'd have to apologise for the Speed comment I think.

What was the comment he made?
I wasn't aware it was as harsh as that. The second sentence was un-necessary. I suspect, however, that he was speaking from experience and from the heart. One things for sure, an apology at this stage would open up wounds, not heal them.
I suggest we cut out the self-indulgent indignation and let the matter, and the man, rest.
Quite, let's just all agree he's a cunt, and move on.![]()
I don't agree, actually. It's a very complex, highly-sensitive issue. His opinion is a common one, though could have been better expressed in a different way.

It certainly wouldn't alter my [affirmative] view as to whether we should sign him if we had half a chance!
As to moving on, the sooner the better.
19 year old posts silly message online shocker.
A lot of people shared that view that it was cowardly, a lot of people do about suicide because they don't understand it.
It's done, sweep it under the carpet and let it be. We all make mistakes.
I guess you must be a older Wincobank resident if you played near Blackburn Brook, we used to make money pushing cars out of the water when it flooded Fife St you had to be a bit wary crossing the train tracks thoughsounds like Blackburn beck where we used to play sometimes, except that was rust coloured and stank. Think it was a stretch that fed into, rather than out of, Blackburn Meadows but not 100% sure. Guess I survived![]()
Mmmm just trying to think who you are most of the people in the back to backs went to Shiregreen but the only Blades I remember who moved to Shiregreen were the Clarke bros off Robin Hood Rd.Lived in Wincobank up to 1966 then they decided to demolish our houses on Newman Rd so we moved to Shiregreen and that was when we played in it, the same brook / beck, but a bit upstream as it were, near Thundercliffe Grange. Filthy smelly water (though more an industrial metallic smell than a sewagey one I recall), it was a magnet to us as kids tring to make rafts and stuff.

Yup
We wanted Harlee Dean and we got Edgar
That's the pond we swim in these days
BTW according to Edgar's interview the first he heard about it was last week. Does this mean that
a) we have only just begun to look at potential CB resources?
Or
b) he was well down the list +ve is working through?
Anyway. Let's see what he does against the shrimpers tomorow neight. 6'2" amongst our own set of shrimps. Prawn Hub?
Quite, let's just all agree he's a cunt, and sign him
