I liked Darius and used to receive many positive comments about him when talking to opposition fans. A section of Blades supporters weren't so keen but when have they ever done anything but moan?

I still have to say though that at his age and the direction his career has been going in....he's not the answer. I'm sceptical about the credibility of the source anyway. I've read a lot of rumours from there that led to nothing. To be frank, I smell bullshit.

That's simplistic. As a fully signed up clapper who at worst stays quiet in the face of vast amounts of shit football, I'm horrified at the thought of this disgrace of a footballer coming back.

We paid £2m for him, plus God knows how many thousands every week in wages. He rewards us with abject thuggery, repeated stupidity, prolonged absence and ultimately a big help towards our relegation.

If you employ experienced footballers you choose those who set a proper example and can still contribute. Henderson is the polar opposite of what's needed. He has robbed us blind once already. He's just robbed Orient (looked where they finished). Let him finish his clumsy, violence-ridden career far far away from here.

He has been on trial at Forest - it was widely reported a couple of weeks ago.

I'm not saying Henderson would be my first choice by any means but there is no harm in having a (free) look at him. He would certainly add a different dimension (height, size, physicality, heading ability, bolster the defence at set pieces etc) to the side (perhaps from the bench) and one we were sadly lacking last season.

Maybe NA is considering him as a more direct, battering ram type option. The only thing being, I thought Higdon was meant to be our plan B when the pretty, tippy tappy stuff doesn't break defences down.

I think that's a bit simplistic a view of him as well. He played well on a number of occasions and had a reasonable rate of goals at first for a player that was never an out and out goal scorer.

The downside to him was his tendency to give away free kicks and get yellow/red cards. Also he became very injury prone. I prefer to be balanced and fair on past players.
