honestly i cant go on Facebook Twitter or here without someone mentioning billy sharp signing If every rumour was right, billy sharp must be camping outside the academy For last fortnight

So, it looks like the fee has been agreed (£500k) but Sharp won't leave Leeds without a pay off.

"Sharp will have to take a pay cut in order to re-join Sheffield United, and he won't complete the deal until Leeds hand him a pay-off, according to The Sun."


I presume that money bags Wigan will be nearer the mark with wages than we are, but possibly Sharp doesn't want to go there, the result being stalemate and this might be the reason Rosler keeps banging on about interest from other clubs.

If it doesn't get sorted imminently I think it best to move on. We can't hang around for ever
 
I'm guessing that both our valuation of Sharp and Leeds valuation of Murphy are way out.

Leeds paid up Billy's contract from Saints at £600k, Billy took a '50% pay cut' and I don't think there was a fee, so why would Billy need 'paying up' from Leeds if sold?..I doubt we'll be offering anywhere near the £500k rumoured. Still, it would appear that Billy wants to come back and hook up with Adkins again...hence the persistent rumours...

We've had other interest for Murphy and unless he's desperate to leave, don't need to sell..so if the reports of offers under a million from Leeds are true it's little wonder that's not happening.

Gone are the days that any player would walk over broken glass to play for the club they support . Players play for one thing - money .

I would be very surprised if the Leeds owner bends and sorts out BS contract , with outstanding wages / pay out .

It could be a situation that BS does not love the club as much as the fans , or loves the fans , as much as some love him.

This transfer is stalling ( if there in the first place ) , and could cause unrest and uncertainty . If no straight forward deal , close it , and move on . We already have Done.

So he's a year older than Sharp, who some were claiming is past it, consistently played at a lower level and not scored anywhere near as many. Out-fucking-standing. 

If this is the quality of alternative, please come home Billy!
 
Hate to be negative but if Billy Sharp is the calibre of player we are going for, I don't hold out much hope for promotion. :)

Adkins knows BS the player and person better than us fans . We cannot be the judge and jury on any player we sign. Adkins decision will be final and be good for the club . If its Billy great , if not , it will be someone else . He has to set the benchmark for automatic , with them who can put the ball in the net , and others who can stop them going in. We do need a 20 / 25 goal man , and the market we are in , is not that big.
