You was doing ok about monty until you mentioned being a lawyer .ive found most lawyers are. £270 pound an hour fucking waste of time who haven't got a good 90 minutes in them ,thank you sir that will be £405.You get it as a lawyer. They come to you for legal advice and then proceed not to take the advice and do what they want to do. If that's your attitude, you might want to represent yourself and not waste your fucking time with a lawyer...
Blackwell grrrrrBoth tiers inherited - you can only play the cards you're dealt.
Neither manager would merit the word "successful" in my view, I still blame Blackwell for costing me about £200 going to that fiasco at Wembley.

Not denying some are good ,but I'm afraid I've had a couple of conference level lawyers act for me . They were a bit like Baxter flattered to deceive ,but still charged tony currie moneyHow strange our perceptions.....
I'm not one to defend solicitors as a profession, but from my own experience I eventually came into contact a specialist in the entertainment business who was both first rate at his job but was also a excellent human being. I can't speak on behalf of anyone else's experiences, but after wandering through a sea of differing legal talents I came across the chap who advised me for over 12 years. And as an example of his bulldog grit, he was involved in over 80 litigations and never lost one. Now that's what any client would hope for, but clearly it's not something that happens as easily for some as it does for others.
I still blame Blackwell for costing me about £200 going to that fiasco at Wembley.

Blackwell - all games in 2nd Tier - Wilson - all games in 3rd tier.
I'll take both of those and raise you this:
Blackwell's 2008-09 3rd in the Championship. Lost out on automatic promotion after an outside chance on the final day. Outplayed Preston over two legs and lost miserably to Burnley in the play off final.
Wilson 2011-12 3rd in League One. Lost out on automatic promotion after an outside chance on the final day. Scraped past Stevenage over two legs and lost miserably to Huddersfield in the play off final.
Both pretty similar on the face of it yet one was a division higher than the other. How anyone can say Blackwell's achievements that season pale against Wilson's are simply barmy.
Despite their 'achievements' both were given the job of getting us promoted and were given decent budgets to do so. They both failed. We've just sacked a manager for the same thing.I'll take both of those and raise you this:

To elbow Blackwell on the one result v QPR after a fine draw away at Cardiff , in hindsight was rash and counter productive, Blackwell was making a good fist of keeping us competitive in a tough league oN ever decreasing budgets, as always be careful what you wish for . No it wasnt the best entertainment in the world , but we won moree than we lost , in the championship -
The big big error was Speed, his heart wasnt in it, harsh but true , we would have been better with someone who wouldnt dump us after 3 months, stability and continuity are paramount at a football club.
We were like a boat with a broken rudder
To be fair to him, I doubt it was his plan to remove the old players and replace them with the likes of Jordan Stewart. He had the job of slashing a >£20,000,00 wage bill. It was that that was driving sales / acquisitions....having said that BTL, Blackie had finally got his wish and removed most of robsons signings, a good few of warnocks and finally got the players HE wanted, a team of jordan stewarts, not skilful but workers and adaptable and everyone has to tackle! plus a bizzare (in blackie's case) acquisition of Britton to appease the fans that we were going to play football... we weren`t , never would and Blackwell was responsible for lining up a team well worthy of relegation. To his credit , i don`t think Blackie would`ve actually got us relegated but we`d have finished 16th or summat with that load of shite.
