Some people also have no choice about how they metabolise proteins and fats. Some people eat tons of food and just burn it all off. Others struggle with weight problems all their lives. If you are fat, it doesn't necessarily mean you're greedy, there could be other reasons. I'm sure Evans doesn't sit around on a deckchair munching lard sandwiches watching Rotherham train. He's probably more physically active than many on this forum.

I can understand that argument to some extent but there is only one thing that really counts - calories in versus calories out.

Can't deny his results but FFS he's a fat, slobby, gobshite. I would be truly embarrassed to see his blubbery carcass in our dugout. Continually hoiking his trousers up as his groaning, overworked belt slithers down his fat arse. But he has done at cracking job at toy town.

It's bollocks. Look at the history, the crowds, the ground. We're Sheffield United, for Pele's sake. Stop the forelock-tugging and cap-doffing. Any of the managers mentioned would be honoured to manage our club. Adkins, for example: Physio at Scunthorpe - hardly a platform for Billy Bigtime, is it?

Absolutely this ^^^. We think we're a hard-done-by bunch but it's not true. Do we get more injuries than anybody else? Are we the only team who sells their best players? (Ask Liverpool, Tottenham etc.) Have our fans got expectations above our station? (I think Allardyce with his experiences at Newcastle and West Ham would give you an argument.) I'd imagine this would be a dream job for the likes of Allardyce. Away from the intense media spotlight. Hardly any expectations from the fans or board and a great city to live in.
Unless, of course, the board are content to drift along. Well those days are coming to an end. Expecting around 20k to just turn up regardless of what's on offer is delusional.

Guilty by the FA for dodgy contracts for Boston players falsifying their salaries.
Guilty (more than once) of impeding enquiries into his financial irregularities.

Are those valid enough reasons for not having him anywhere near our club?
I sort of like my club being on the clean side financially. Saves getting a bite on the arse later.

Plus, looking at his transfer policy it appears to be based more on the law of averages than any genuine insight into the suitability or potential of a particular player
