He is the one man out of all potential candidates i just cannot see being the manager of the blades
Completely the wrong sort of guy we need to be going for.
Would be a disastrous decision to appoint parkinson.
Not as disastrous as Billy Davies.

Yes but why would they want parkinson out? I don't understand he's done well for them.

It does appear the Bradford fans love and respect Parkinson. Paladini will not do a Leeds United or Leyton Orient , but having Warnock , overing in the wings , must create some unrest for Parkinson.

Good guy , but i don't feel he is the right guy for SUFC. However thats the boards decision .

parkinson odds up to 8/15 and adkins shortened to 2/1
promising sign.

Parkinson now 6/5 yet seemingly nailed on at 1/10 four hours ago.
When Clough came in it took a couple of weeks and there were many candidates at odds on before that happened.

IF it is Phil Parkinson, I'm surprised at the outpouring of negativity. Parkinson took Bradford up, albeit via the back door after several erratic performances (something Nigel couldn't do), has cemented Bradford as a solid league 1 side who flirted with the play-offs, knows the division well and was once regarded as one of the brightest young managers in the game after what he achieved at Colchester. He failed at Hull but, arguably, was sacked very early into his tenure and warranted more time.

He'd represent a solid, if uninspiring decision. But at least he's employed, and from the initial reaction from Bradford fans, they would miss him. Maybe a safer bet than many of the out of work managers currently on the merry-go-round.

Agree . We want a proven manager who is in work , knows league 1 , and fits with the existing squad . IMO its got to be Robinson . Lets not forget managers are out of work for a reason .

Phil Parkinson appears to have the full respect from the Bradford fans , and truth be known there is not much difference between SUFC and Bradford . We have both fallen from grace and sometimes think above our station.

If it is Parkinson we have got to give the bloke , or who ever it is , a fighting chance .

Do you really think Robinson would leave MK after all that hard work getting them promoted?
Think he's more unrealistic than adkins personally

Not about ambition? Of course it is! What an odd thing to say.
It's odd because you don't agree. That's all.

He has worked tirelessly all season to achieve promotion with MK, so
surely he would want to finish the job and manage in the championship which was what the
hard work was for in the first place.

Just makes sense to me.

No it's odd because football people are all fiercely ambitious, managers in particular. Sheffield United is a huge step up from Milton Keynes, whatever their respective divisions.

Ian Porterfield left second division Rotherham for fourth division United without a second thought.

I remember Bruce Rioch celebrating Bolton Wanderers promotion to the Premier League on the Wembley pitch after a memorable play-off win. He was manager of Arsenal within days.

Don't kid yourself.

Time will tell.
Under your logic then, answer this..
Why did Karl Robinson turn us down before we appointed Clough? Lack of ambition?

Agree . We want a proven manager who is in work ,

it's ridiculous to discount all the excellent managers who are currently out of work. By your logic we wouldn't be interviewing Poyet, Adkins or Warburton. Or Allardyce of course, not that he'd come here

I'm not sure about that, he's got a League One and League Two promotion on his CV.

If you judge a manager on promotions alone, you'll struggle to find any worse than Clough.

But gotta say I hope we'll get someone better than Parkinson.

How About a Manager that has 3 Promotions from League 2 to League 1 and a Promotion from Championship to the Premiership....

sounds good on paper.... but thats the honours of one Micky Adams....

How about 1 Promotion from League 2 to League one and Promotion to The Premiership...

again good on paper.... thats the honours of Danny Wilson

sometimes what is good on paper isnt always good on the touchline.....

I think barring actually sticking by a manager (ala Warnock) the only thing we havent tried to get success is a foreign manager.

my son spoke to robinson after clough was appointed. they asked him why he did'nt come, he said he wanted to
but the club would not pay the compensation. Fear this will be the cheap option

Don't panic ! On these markets a 10 quid bet sends the odds into silliness .

What do you think the odds will be if i put a tenner on adkins right now, thinking about it.
When Parkinson became big favourite yesterday Adkins fell to 33/1....... I was logging into my skybet account to place a bet and the odds dropped to 5/1. I have still put £10 on as I feel we will go for the "cheaper appointment" rather than pay a club compensation.
