Pure speculation, but I bet it was the Prince's view that was the decisive one. His vote will carry the most weight. He's the one who's been putting the money in, and he could turn it off if he doesn't get his way.

Did he really screw up the season so badly? We were a whisker away from a double Wembley season - League Cup Final and Play Off Final. Just the odd goal in both semis saw us go out, the odd goal in 13 v Swindon. It's a fine line between success and failure.
Is it the Blades way? I think so. All we have to fall back on is did the plonker take us within a goal of promotion and a final? And yes he did..in both cups that amounts to failure. Clough has the obnoxious arrogance of his father but absolutely no talent. Arrogant twat. Just listened again to his last interview the man is a fucking joke.

His father also had a certain genius in Peter Taylor who clearly was the man who sorted out and smoothed the problems between him and the players.

Yep, Parkinson could be one of the potential candidates we're speaking to, and the news could have leaked - meaning someone in Bradford decided it was a good idea to stick 50 quid on him. Might not mean anything.

I strongly disagree with this.

And genuinely have no idea how anyone listening to Clough can come to this conclusion.

Not heard the last interview - but if it's anything like the previous 100 or so then he'll've given considered answers (and unaccountably had a go at McNulty).

Do tell me what he said wrong in his last interview ?

Let's not get carried away with the odds on favourite. Last year Clough was quite a bit off the pace with the favourites and then landed it out of nowhere.

Purleeeeazze, not Parkinson...are we aiming for bargain bin, low ambition, with a penchant for players we've decided aren't good enough?
By comparison, Nigel Adkins looks positively Guardiolaesque. Adkins is the least I'd expect, and why we aren't trying to tempt a manager with a proven record for good, successful football.....but there again, maybe we are and aren't being informed until.....I know this has been asked somewhere, but does a managerial candidate have to be out of work? Or is that a prerequisite for the Blades?

odds are lengthening now which is good, hope it was just a few sizeable gambles and nothing more

To be fair to Parkinson, and I'm not excited at all by him, he has a decent track record on very tight budgets. We could do worse than him, thiugh we could obviously do better.

I hope it's someone else but I could get behind Parkinson.
