Did he really screw up the season so badly? We were a whisker away from a double Wembley season - League Cup Final and Play Off Final. Just the odd goal in both semis saw us go out, the odd goal in 13 v Swindon. It's a fine line between success and failure.

By comparison, Nigel Adkins looks positively Guardiolaesque. Adkins is the least I'd expect, and why we aren't trying to tempt a manager with a proven record for good, successful football.....but there again, maybe we are and aren't being informed until.....I know this has been asked somewhere, but does a managerial candidate have to be out of work? To be fair to Parkinson, and I'm not excited at all by him, he has a decent track record on very tight budgets. We could do worse than him, thiugh we could obviously do better.

I hope it's someone else but I could get behind Parkinson.
