A mere twitter rumour and no substance whatsoever, but rumour of him being off to Peterborough on a free.

Id be suprised if its a free.

What a massive disapointment hes been.

As daft as it sounds, I think, given the right formation i.e. 4-4-2 / 4-3-3 with quick, busy players around him, Higdon could be effective - as proved in the short time he was on the pitch against Spurs. Unfortunately, as with McNulty, the 4-2-3-1 / 4-1-4-1 formations that NC prefers really don't suit him and his limited mobility and ability to hold the ball up makes him appear isolated and his weakenesses exposed.

He can however finish and as shown on the first day of the season and against MK he can be dangerous when balls are played in to the box.

I do however think for both his and the club's sake, he needs to leave this summer (if anyone is willing to take a chance of him) but I wouldn't be surprised if he notched 10-15 next season (if he avoids mystery injuries that keep him out for months on end without any explanation).

Now cue all the comments about pizza boxes, McD's, KFC etc ...

If we are not re-signing Steven Davies then I think he is worth keeping.

Higdon can get goals but much like Baxter he needs to be much fitter.

Don't hate him MB1. I don't 'hate' anyone. I just regarding him as woefully inept as a footballer in the English League Division One.

Him, and about fifteen others in our squad.

I still think the right style of play and formation and he'll score in this league.

Look at Porter

We need mid-Championship/lower-Premiership players to get to the top of this league, dominate the opposition, accrue maximal points, get automatic promotion and sustain our position for two, maybe three seasons whilst building again for further promotion.

Can you see Higdon, lumpen, slow, ten seconds behind any attack, fifty-pee headed and eternally crocked fitting any of that framework?

If you do, show your working out MB1

I do actually rate a fit Higdon , and with the right service , he can score goals . The blokes certainly got presence .

Hope Higdon does come good , as i then wont feel so bad , about giving Simon the video of him.

He has presence and can finish...

Unfortunately the process of getting the ball to Michael Higdon in a position near the opposition goal is one to which he's proved incapable of contributing. The idea of tasking the ten other poor saps in a team to compensate for this fact (presumably on the basis he'll pay it back with goals goals goals), is pure insanity.

Cheerio biggun!

Give him a little longer. I saw signs of a player in him for the first time against Swindon. A good pre season and he might surprise us.

IF he has a good preseason and is 100% fit , we will see the best of him. My concern is with the likes of Coutts , Wallace , Davies ( and even throw Higdon In ) , with certain injuries , it affects what you do off the ball , as well as what you do on it . The lack of certain manoeuvrability has definitely left us exposed and unbalanced . Just another issue Clough has to resolve.
