In fairness, it just hasn't worked out for Higgy, I don't think this is through lack of effort on his behalf.

Sending him back in time to Barnsley???? You must really hate the bloke, wouldn't wish that on Megson.

Mind you, I should imagine they'll be discovering Punk in the next couple of years so it might be one of the better time to go.

CYNIC!!! Seriously, he needs to play, maybe this will offer a platform from which he can sharpen whatever edge he has. Although the irishman is going to be difficult to budge, a fitter, sharper Higdon might prove a useful addition in our promotion push.

Indeed. A more expansive question than "what is the meaning of life". Suggests Foxy starts looking for a bigger server if this takes of.

1. It's the town that time forgot, where men are men and so are most of the women.
2. It's main sports are wife beating, bed wetting, incest and chucking bricks at trains.
3. They have a completely separate language unknown and unwanted outside the "tarn" (town) boundaries.
4. Dickie Bird is their best known "local lad".
5. KES.
6. Michael "professional yorkshireman" Parkinson. Bell End of the highest order and most famous exile.

Just thinking about the place, I'm too worked up to continue at present. Need a cuppa!

I honestly don't understand why some people have a problem with higdon. They slate him or take the piss on here but he has never been given a chance to prove himself properly. If he was/is so overweight the he wouldn't have been given any starts at all instead of the couple he was last season. I honestly think he is better than sharp who lets be honest has never set the world alight I his three stints with united. All higdon wants is a fair crack of the whip. That's not to much to ask surely. Leading scorer in Scots prem a couple of seasons ago and 14 a season in Dutch prem. He must have somat about him. Give the guy a break.

Sharp's a proper footballer these days. He is doing enough to be in the team even without scoring.

Higdon embarrassed himself last time he got a chance. I do think he's better than that though.
 
To be honest I'd rather we kept him around.

I know he hasn't had the greatest of starts for us and some question his fitness (and rightly so) but he can score goals and he is the only other target man other than Sammon. If you want to win a League you need as many options as up top as we can afford
 
Genius from Adkins. Gets Higdon fit and hinders Barnsley's promotion chances all in one foul swoop.

Any chance of a swap deal for that Connor Hourihane?
 
I don't think loaning one of our players to a promotion rival is the best move.

I'd happily loan him to colchester or some other mid/lower league 1 team though.

To be fair he wasn't ever given a proper chance you're right but when he did come on from the bench he showed absolutely nothing. More interested in playing the man like Henderson used to, didn't see him actually jump for a ball (with the exception of him debut at home) and don't remember seeing him chase a man down. Complete waste of money in my opinion. In not saying there isn't a decent footballer there somewhere but he showed no desire or effort for me
