He's an unpredicatble quantity at the moment which needs to be sorted out.
Against West Ham when he started he was brilliant and he looked a threat against Newcastle when he came on.
He's worth starting due to the fact he can bully push and generally scare defences to death with his pure strength and he has very good close control to go with it.
Get him up front with Stead, then bring Shelton on after an hour.
Charltons defence won't have a minute to relax and will make mistakes against those 3.

My thoughts exactly, neither Shelton nor Nade seems to have the stamina for a full game - so let Nade bully them for 60 minutes and then bring Shelton on to rip them to pieces for the final 30.

I don't think i've had this much confidence in our forward line since the days Deane and Fjortoft.

Happy days.

Could they be the new Deane and Agana?
If they were half as prolific as those two then the top four would be shitting kittens at the thought of playing us.:D

Happy days.
I had total confidence in the forward line last season as soon as we ditched the shirt-tugger and Shipperley went straight into the starting line-up.

My problem with last season was that we never knew who would be playing up front: Akinbiyi and Shipp, Shipp and Webber, Dyer and Akinibiy, Webber and Kabba, etc, etc.

At the moment i feel that any combination of Stead, Nade, Webber, Hulse and Shelton will do the business.

I dont care about result today, we dont need 3 points.

As long as we win our remaining two home fixtures, the two away ones will not matter.

wuhu.. im veeeery excited today...

so how are you feeling prior to the game today?

Nervous but know if it does go tits up it isnt the end of our season.

Kenny, Morgan, Jagielka, Shelton, Stead, Kilgallon, Montgomery, Tonge, Gillespie, Armstrong, Geary.
Subs: Bennett, Kozluk, Leigertwood, Nade, Kazim-Richards.

Starting lineup

Got to say that i'm surprised to see stretch and Kilgallon both playing, is that a back 5 or will we use stretch on the left side of midfield...i suppose it gives us the fluidity to change between the two.

getting nervous now.

Great point, it sure is hard listening to a game on the wireless (its been a while) and i'm looking forward to seeing extended highlights on football first.

I still have a feeling there is a twist in this relegation dog-fight, i have a feeling west ham will come from nowhere to stay up. I just hope that Wigan or Fulham are the ones who fill the last relegation spot.

Can't wait for the run in and luckily enough i will see every minute of the last 3 games, i don't think i could take another game via the wireless.

Up the blades.

Great point, not seen or heard anything with regards to game. So will reserve judgement till later

Todays quote of the day overheard from a Charlton fan while queuing for a train - "I thought they'd bring a few, but didn't realise they had such a lunatic following". I think we made an impression. :D

Good day out in the capital, a couple of pints sitting in the sun before the game, a sellout Blades following in great voice (well, we did flag for a couple of minutes at 1-0 down, but a few gestures from Morgs when up for a corner soon got things going again. :) ), and what could be a crucial point. I think we did pretty well - Monty on top form, same with Geary and Jags, another good game by Tonge (though a couple of times late on if he'd passed the ball to either Stead or Kazim instead of shooting wide we may have got a winner) and a great finish by Stead from a pass by (I think) Monty. If we stay up, that goal has more than paid Steads fee!

Charltons free 'clappers' didn't seem to have much effect on them, even their stadium announcer said at the start of the second half they'd been a 'bit quiet' in the first. "We weren't" was the comment from the guy next to me. :D Their fans did get going a bit more second half and after they scored, but went quiet very quickly after the equalizer.

Shame about West Ham winning today, they may yet get out of it (after I wrote them off earlier today) but Wigan and Fulham are looking in trouble. I'm about 7/10 on the confidence meter after today.

Yep, agree with Berks Blade (good to see you before the game :D).

Heard similar comments on the train back myself. 'Their lot never shut up all game!' Err, that's called support!

Good goal scored, shocker conceded, but would take a point before so happy with it.

They even tried to keep us quiet before the game with an Abba tribute act (bizarre) but the noise from the away end frightened their announcer definitely.

Thought Jags was epic today and Stead ran around loads, good finish!

Hope they don't think Watford is a gimmee!

Jags played top class today along with Stead.

Pitty tongey didnt lay it off later in the game for keef coz that could of sealed the game.

Anyway nevermind a vital point and glad we shut up the smug charlton fans after there cheeky flipping goal.

To put it bluntly.

Pretty crap performence, too much hoofball BUT we got a point.

Shelton got no service to be fair to him.

Agreed overall it was a pretty poor performance by us and the same goes for charlton really. I mean they never even looked like scoring and trust it to be a cheeky deflected shot for there goal. We could of probably attacked abit more towards the end and come away with 3 points but i think that may of been too much of a risk. Anyway still a vital point for us and usually after a poor performance we end up with f all.

Didn't look too bad on football first, you won't see much one touch football with so much at stake and i thought we mixed it up well.

I was surprised that Shelton started and i think it was pretty harsh on Nade to not feature at all. Shelton struggled to get into the game and the neat turns and runs that came off against Man U didn't go for him today.

From what i've seen i thought Jags, Monty, Tonge and Stead looked superb; eclipsed only by the fantastic vocal support that drowned out the commentators.

Great goal by Steadinho, he is unrecognisable from the player that struggled so badly at Sunderland; i'm chuffed for the lad and i hope he can go on to be one of our best ever signings.

What an atmosphere is all i can say, we never seemed to shut apart from just after they scored their 40 yard 'deflection', jammy bastards, oh well great goal from Stead and topped off by two flashing cockneys overall a good day out. Come on you Blades

If Tongey could have got his head up and passsed, or buried his mazy run in the last minute it would have been pandemonium in the blades End.

Great support again.

Was a lot better stood up all the game too i thought. Should do it all the time.

my legs are prpoer killing now though being on back row on tip toes didnt help but was worth it, best atmosphere for ages. What was the official amount of Blades anyone know??

To put it bluntly.

Pretty crap performence, too much hoofball BUT we got a point.

Shelton got no service to be fair to him.

Be satisfied with the fact we got the 'Non-Loss' that we needed and are in a v good position to control if we stay up.
So what it we hoofed it a bit.
We got the draw so thats a good performance IMO

To put it bluntly.

Pretty crap performence*, too much hoofball BUT we got a point.

Shelton got no service to be fair to him.

"Bogus, dude. The evil grumpy one has, like TOTALLY returned."
"Yeah dude. His spelling is still bogus too man."

*PERFORMANCE, with an "A" please.:D

the goal celebrations were mental around me everyone hugging totalstrangers jumping andcheering for about a minute,me getting pushed on the th row infront lol it wascrazy

My throat is still killing and my shins hurt from the chair in front :)

Got hugged by the old bloke stood next to me... I love Blades :D
