I really wouldn't bother. Common sense and logic isn't on the agenda.
When we make plans and get offers in early the other clubs involved have to sell. They are not allowed to wait and see whether they get better offers. Neither are the players and their agents.
Other clubs have signed players already - they must be really good or they wouldn't have signed them. Look at Barnsley for Pele's Sake! Why didn't we bring in three nonentities? What about MK? Look how quickly they've replaced Afobe with someone we've never mentioned or even heard of. He must be just as good or they wouldn't have signed him. Why didn't we get him? In fact, we should have signed all the players that the other clubs have. They must be really good or they wouldn't have signed them.
Our plans are in disarray. We are left scraping the barrel with the likes of Champipnship quality players like Paul Coutts and COG. Clubs like Preston would never dream of signing those two.
Jim Phipps is a charlatan. It's obvious someone else writes his copy. American's can't speak English; we all know that.
Some of you clappers are so naive. You'll swallow all the bullshit that the club gives out. The club completely wastes it's time by making offers it knows won't be accepted. It believes that this is a great way to keep the fans happy even when the deals don't materialise. They even make up interest in players just to fool us. Clough and Branigan are in on this too. NC even went up to Scotland the other day on a completely bogus scouting trip, making sure he told the media first. It's all carefully orchestrated to give us Numpties the illusion of activity. They would sooner spend time and money on this elaborate conspiracy than actually bringing in players. I don't know why they don't just keep quiet rather than broadcasting completely false information just to keep us clapping, knowing that we'll never see through it.
The transfer window closed on Friday. All other clubs know this and have told their fans.
