Often disappointed, never discouraged
At least the cup runs have given us some much needed good publicity in the wake of all that rapist bollocks. Thanks to that, and Oldham, the vile Sheff Utd of a few weeks back already seems to be fading from public / media memory. We all know where we stand on the Evans fiasco, it was a horrible, damaging period, and it remains a divisive issue at the club. But when we've got posters on other threads (sorry, can't remember who !) talking about the "media love-in" with SUFC after QPR and Southampton, it does remind you of how much that shitstorm was media-driven, or fuelled.
Anyway, what I meant to say was that at least we're a bit better positioned than we were a few weeks ago to attract players. Imagine if the rapist had been released in January ? We'd be completely fooked.
