I remember TC's first game. He played up front in that match and looked a different class at that age, even playing with other quality young lads such as Mick Jones, Alan Birchenall, Len Badger etc. The story at that time was John Harris made a bid to Watford for Stewart Scullion but the club were unwilling to sell their star player (unlike us :-( ), but Watford needed money so let us have TC. Possibly our best buy.

Did TC ever play in the same team as Mick Jones and Birchenhall?

My understanding was that we tried to sign Scullion in late 1967 but Scullion didnt fancy the move so we switched our attentions to TC and then it was agreed that he would come to us after Watford were no longer in the FA Cup. We were drawn away to Watford in the 3rd round (played the game in late January) and we beat them with a Mick Hill goal! Scullion eventually signed for us in summer 1971

I wouldn't walk from Seven Sisters or Tottenham Hale personally. From the tube at 7 Sisters I would pick up the overground to WHLand from Tottenham Hale get the overground to Northumberland Park.

Are there any home/away restrictions on which of WHL and NP to use?

Away fans can use either station. Personally I use WHL on the way to the match and Northumberland Park on the way home. Makes most sense logistically.

Got my ticket today. Just need to work out how to get there given the last train is too early . If I decide to drive any advice on where to park etc?

You can usually find match day parking in the schools, leisure centres and businesses around the ground for ten or twenty quid. Or park at Enfield or Turkey St stations and catch the train.
There is a website where people will let you park on their drive etc.

The Just Park website is the one I use for driveways B.Lade, I just had a check and the going rate in walking distance of the ground is about £12-14.

Is street parking at Enfield or Bush Hill Park easy to find during the day? Am thinking of arriving in North London around lunch time then catch the train from Enfield/Bush Hill Park to Liverpool Street to look round central London before going to WHL

When we went in the Prem, we made the mistake of parking right near the ground. Took us about an hour and a half to get back onto the North Circular.

Has the general mood changed at all in the wake of our victory against QPR?

I dont think anyone is taking you lightly but over two legs we still expect to win. As i said before, i would be more worried if it was a one off game!

I am old enough to have seen us lose some shockers so i for one am not counting my chickens just yet!

How come the White Hart Lane tickets are £25 if we're selling the Bramall Lane ones at £15?

I've mine for both now. Really looking forward to it.

I used to live around there and Enfield Town has always been a pain for parking. You should be fine near BHP, but may have to park about five / ten minutes walk away as is usual for commuter routes. Assuming you'll be driving in on the A10, when you turn onto Lincoln Road and then Main Avenue I'd say it's best to park as soon as you can there and walk.

I'm not surprised because Spurs' following was always the biggest of the 3 main London clubs when coming up to BDTBL. (and the least "narky" too).
Spurs have a great support, unlike Chelski who averaged about 18,000 as recent as the 90's,whilst we were getting 22,000 averages.Plastic fuckers.

Last time we were there when we were in the Premier League we found somewhere to park that was supposed to be monitored.
After the game we came back to the car and somebody had parked in front of the exit, after 45 minutes of waiting for this selfish w@nker to return Spurs and United fans alike bounced the car half way down the street.

Talking of support we had 2500 at Burnley out of a crowd of 9400. Not bad for a Monday night.

If we put that team out against United you will fancy your chances!

After the Burnley replay the game vs SU will be my 9th home cup game this season. Fiorentina the 10th.

Too much football,not enough money!

In my experience, anybody who goes to Burnley voluntarily at any time of any day of the week should seek qualified psychiatric help. It makes Stoke look like Shangri-La.
