Warnock wouldn't come back. Not as long as Game Changing Investments is still wiping his arse with the twenties the fans put into the club.

I don't see why the board is getting all your anger. Clough has brought in 16 players including loans. Do you think the team which finished last season needed that many changes?
The team is hugely underskilled, in many areas. Even if we did scrape promotion - do you really think we'd survive in the Championship with this lot? The board is responsible for supporting the manager's overall team plan and if we lack power in areas - how long have we been without a prolific striker I ask you - then it is their job to get weaving and support Clough's plan. Like I keep saying, those 16 players cost the sum total of fuck all. We sold Maguire for £2.5m. Where's that cash gone?

" I just felt we were lacking in midfield me, so I rang Monty and first thing he said was "I'm on my way gaffer" and I think if you asked him, he'd say he wouldn't have done that for any other manager"
Who's said they don't want him for that reason walthy?I love this idea that we shouldn't want Warnock because he can't cut it in the Premiership. Let's worry about that when we get there.
a bit like saying cat pooh is more useful than dog poohSneer all you want, Monty is better than Doyle
Sneer all you want, Monty is better than Doyle

No, he isn't.
Yep. As much as it grinds my gears to admit, I'd take the consistent ninety minutes of knee-fluffing, second-touch-is-a-tackle, boot .... it's-out-of-the-ground energy that Monty had to Doyle's ten-minutes-of-activity inconsistent shite at the moment.

Oh yes he is.
Bit harsh, Monty has two man of the match awards against Arsene Wengers Arseanl to brag about, couldn't see any of our current midfielders achieving that.
just cant cut it in the big time, can get anybody promoted but cant keep them up..
He certainly got a fair crack at the whip with us,that's something Palace wasn't willing to give him,but i still honestly believe he struggles at the top level, that is all.
Not a chance when Doyle was at his best (before joining us unfortunately) and IMHO Doyle's game is better than Monty was even now.Sneer all you want, Monty is better than Doyle
Why do three quarters struggle? They don't is my answer, not the quantity you put anyway. Some are doing well, some are adequate and some are overachieving. There are always the money aspects which come into it,how much they spend etc etc.I didn't start the thread. All i was saying is that on stats alone NW has never been successful at a Premier league club.Ok!In one way or another about three quarters of the managers in the premier league struggle. Hardly earth shatteringly out of the ordinary is it, but hey let's have a pop at someone who left 8 years ago, even though he did a better job than anyone we've had since John Harris with the one exception of Dave Bassett.

Even in our great seasons we had some terrible performances that were a result of Warnock's lack of tactical aptitidue coming to the fore. Remember going to bottom of the league Coventry in the promotion season and losing 2 - 0 with a performance worse than even Crewe away last year.
His best days before he joined us? Don't say that to any Coventry fans they wanted his head on a pole they reckoned he was so poor there. Not a chance when Doyle was at his best (before joining us unfortunately) and IMHO Doyle's game is better than Monty was even now.
