Not happy with NC? Or is it the players he's brought in? Which players would you keep and which do you want to see go?
Don't use this for who you'd like to see us get. Work with what is essentially NC squad.
Then name your team.

Biased or not we should be building a team around our best players and young Reed is the most talented of the lot!

Other than putting Wallace on the bench and sending Doyle to meadowhall on match days with porter, that looks like my squad too. Definitely my starting 11

Any 11 from the squad should be capable of getting out of this league, put a list of back room staff up there, pick who you would keep or let go. Something's not right, and I'm f@@ked if I know what it is.

Who is this Wallace fellow - does he play for us? I know about Che Adams mate but I never heard about this other Wallace bloke. Is he a legendary footballing yeti or BUPA's customer of the year? I bet he is spending his time writing a book " Cooking in a crock pot".

The XI that played against Southampton would do nicely for me, with O'Grady for Cuvelier.

Substitutes to include Baxter, Scougall, Cuvelier, Higdon, de Girolamo, Adams, McGahey.

That's for now. In January, with the greatest respect to one and all, try and offload Higdon, McGinn, Porter, James Wallace and Collins and Butler since they are obviously banned for life from the first team, Replace them with two or three promotion-winning players and allow them to play in their best positions.

I just hope we get 20 games out of him because I think he is a a really good player at this level

4-5-1

Howard
Flynn(inj?) Basham McEverley Harris
Cuvellier Reed Doyle Murphy
Scougall
McNulty

Bench - Turner,Alcock,JCR,O'Grady, Adams, Baxter. Wallace(?),

In January I would send McCarthy back.

Porter, McGinn, Collins and Higdon would be asked to find new homes.

I would be spending all my money on finding an engine in midfield that this team badly needs. Someone who can protect the back 4 and get round the pitch, covering where players are allowed to push on and express themselves. A leader and someone who encourages those around him. Something only Doyle does well when the opposition is limited.

Cuvellier plays on the right however would be pushed in to allow Flynn or another attacking fullback to bomb on. This also allows the flexibility to move Murphy further forward and come off the wing to make a 2 up top when needed, with Harris bombing on (see what I did there)

The Southampton game shows we have the players to get at teams, when allowed (instructed)

I would pick the same team as Mr Clough . The difference is that i would say in the dressing room to the players . Go out on that pitch , play football , and just enjoy yourselves , like he must say before the cup matches.

IMHO we cannot field a side capable of competing at the "top 6" level of this Division from our current squad, bearing in mind current injuries.

Scougall needs to find fresh digs for at least the rest of the season he's an embarrassment at the moment.

I think the midfield is our major issue. He's too scared to play 4-4-2 as our midfield loses the battle. Need to replace Doyle in the JTW.

:) I was just posting that when your words appeared.

Doyle can only play the base of a midfield three. The reason people think he plays well these days is largely because little is required from him. If we go 442 then we either sacrifice a winger or replace Doyle with a more mobile and skilled ball player. Perhaps both.

Can't choose between the strikers, either will do.

I think I would go with similar, but have Baxter in the place of Wallace and play both strikers. We are badly lacking in firepower up front and two strikers will give us a fighting chance of scoring.

IF all players were fully fit

- Howard
Alcock Basham McEverly Harris

Davies Reed Cuvelier Murphy

O'Grady McNulty

I still trust Nigel to do what is right, hopefully this January market he will bring some quality and get rid of the wage stealers ( ie porter, McGinn )

Old prejudices die hard....
Despite him being our most consistent performer this season.
How many times have you seen him this season SP?
We need to play 442 which doesnt suit Doyle as he is not a box to box midfielder
