It is a shambles! Chesterfield should have done what Bury did a few seasons ago, or at least give us two stands and have a sell out. Being a chesterfield native I had no problems and have one spare if anyone else is interested let me know.
Why should Chesterfield give us any more tickets? The game has sold out. It's not like there's going to be thousands of Blades that have bought tickets in the home end, it'll be a tiny amount.
You do know the game is a sell out?
Look, I'm a Chesterfield fan and some of the laughable comments on here prompted me to register.
Sheffield United are a much bigger club than us. I can deal with it. This is a derby of convenience - your rivals are in the higher division, ours are in a lower one.
Hopefully it's a good game tomorrow and everyone can go home generally happy.
Crosstownrebel; that's the sort of post you'd expect from a Wednesday fan.
It's an absolute embarrassment for them, surely when a lot of Sheffield postcodes started signing up a week before we played 'em & ordering tickets for the home ends they must have suspected something?
Not too sure on the confidentiality issues but why not cross-map with SUFC as to what customers they had on their records beforehand who were attempting to purchase tickets for the home end?
On another note why not avoid the problem ever happening by doing what other clubs (ourselves included in the past) and make the deal whereby a person must attend the previous three home games to gain a ticket for Saturday?
Looking forward to the chants of "Bladesmen gi us a wave, Bladesmen Bladesmen gi us a wave"
I should hope anyone having tickets blocked would be asking for a full refund and making a complain to both clubs, Chesterfield for not making it public that only home fans could buy tickets for areas in the ground not normally allocated to away fans, to take peoples money and then invalidate their tickets at such a late stage is disgraceful. As for Sheffield United it is a concern that they are apparently sharing customer data with other parties without our knowledge I don't ever remember telling the club they had my permission to do this. Maybe the club should study the Data protection Act 1998 to make sure they are complying breeches are viewed as very serious matters. A call to P&G would be in order if only to inform people that their details are being shared with other parties without their knowledge or consent.
I would ask to speak to the Data Protection Officer at Bramall Lane to voice your concerns. See if they know who it is...
Foxy knows all about Data Protection control now![]()
But they're not worth very muchSO ANNOYED!!! Planning on going to game with two of my best mates (they are Spireites). We booked 3 tickets together. They live in Sheffield and go to Chezzie games 5/6 times a season. Last night I found out my ticket had been cancelled. So spoke to them and their's had not. I have been to Chezzie games in the past, in the home end (even last season). After doing some thinking, I came to the conclusion that Sheffield United plc had given Chesterfield FC some of my personal details without my consent thus breaking the Data Protection Act of 1998. The worst thing is, I own stakes in the club!!!
I don't see why this is a 'fuck up' by CFC. I think they have it bang on.
CFC would be the ones with the FA to deal with if things go wrong and they did nothing.
