Ah the same owd names to pick from the managerial merry-go-round, no thanks, why only look here? Other clubs find unknown managers from abroad some of them are very successful. Why do we only fish in a very small pond be it for players or a new manager?
i think youve hit the nail on the head about managers or players from abroad metal especially players wilder just doesnt do foreign players and its that attitude that is holding the club back imo other clubs do and this attitude is hampering us badly in the modern game change of direction is needed at the lane

Parker or Edwards/cooper .looks like the pigs are interested in challinor

Christ, Parker is more defensive than Wilder, he has only had success when having a great squad to pick from.
Did he not buy the players at Burnley that got them promoted twice .? Not sure where you get defensive from he's had 3 promotion's from the championships

With out getting ridiculous wages would be a problem with us, if not I'd go for Thomas Frank,
But realistically :
Keiren Mckenna
John Mousinho

2 good shouts there i like rob edwards but had forgot about mckenna 2 good young managers out of work we should be acting now our.fanbase is at rock bottom with the football being dished up

Not sure we could afford the compensation,...Oh just a minute...... 😂 😂
He'd be a great call, have you seen the state of the bins around the fan zone, put him in charge of those, he'd have 11 at the back. Plus he could charge per handshake with every Blade and the millions from Hillsborough would come to the fan zone just to watch a master at work...again

Carlos Corberan. Has a good record with clubs in a variety of scenarios at this level. Knows the league and the players and the area, but is also going to be open to and have awareness of players overseas and leagues. But mixed on style of football would a be a question. But good match by match tactician.
Knives Out already............

But building something worthwhile and heading in the right direction with an entertaining young side. There will always be bumps in the road in that situation but the overall direction of travel is what counts. It would be good to have a manager who has yet to reach their ceiling rather than one who is clearly declining from theirs.
I mean, clearly declining is harsh. Its hard to progress once youve been the LMA manager of the year, there's usually only one direction to go afterwards.
Yeah, Im sure he has got a young excited team. I just dont think anyone would be clambering for a manager from a team 8th (ish) in League 1 unless he'd got a big name already.

I'm not sure managers should be judged on individual results, or even a run of bad form.
They've lost more games than us this season, the team in turmoil with the dinosaur manager... in the league below. What else should I judge him on?

I’ve just seen the pigs have sacked there manager sighting poor performances as the reason. Meanwhile we are stuck watching some of the most uninspiring performances known to football on a weekly basis whilst we drift aimlessly around the bottom half of the table.

It seems they are trying to go up through the gears to get back and established in the championship with an identity. It also sounds like identity is core to what they are trying to build.

If we don't give ourselves a kick up the backside then we might lose our dominance in the city in the next few seasons.

No forinners. A pensioner though, perhaps? Preferably one with most of his own teeth, an 'attack, atack, attack' mentality and a mischevious sense of humour
Well you have just described me. Thanks for the vote of confidence but I will have to decline the offer. I do think we should keep an eye on Barry-Murphy at Cardiff who seems to be doing a decent job.

If we changed i'd go with Micky Collins and Phil Jones to the end of the season .

They know the players , strengths and weaknesses and were pretty much stuck with the squad for the remainder .

It saves a clear out of coaching staff and gives enough time for the board to look towards a permanent successor and restructure in the summer .

Collins was way out of his depth when he took the Bradford job. I’d be nervous if he got the main job at our place.

The laugh reaction was for the first half of your post, I think the second half is a pretty sensible shout.

Carlos Corberan has the highest ceiling and actually improves players under him and has his sides over achieving. Style a bit boring though.

Alternative purely on style of play and youth is Brian Barry Murphy.

I've put other but if I really had to choose from that lot I'd go with dyche ( unpopular opinion I know) the football wouldn't be pretty, my burnley mate suggested him to me the other week when I had a rant about wilder, he says dyche puts people in the right position and likes to set up defensively but does like the 3/4 across the front to be free .

It can't be any uglier than it is now...
