If he cares about the Blades as much as he pretends, he'll realise he's not good enough and leave.

He either thinks he can rediscover the magic of his first reign or he knows he’s done and he’ll be back in League One or Two.

Either way, he ain’t leaving until he’s paid off.

i was quite happy with the fight & battling for most of the 2nd half. to get back to 2-2. but the problem is we just are so far off it defensively its terrifying

he's had a shocker tonight but that was great movement from cannon

as ill probably say most matches. just give cooper player of the year award now

wilder for me is safe. if we lost to lincoln then derby would be make or break but i think he's safe until at least international break

bollox if wilders goes this team gets relegated
Believe it or not, there are other managers out there. The time to make a change would've been at the start of the international break. A change now would be risky, agreed, but in the medium term, we ought to be looking at alternative managers. The board does remain the same though and that will always be a pain point whilst they have the tenure, but it's daft to think a manager with a wider world-view of football couldn't get better results than what we are seeing now.

We can rightfully complain about the red card because it was an extremely poor decision (to put it politely), but we've still gifted 3 goals away from home. Even with 11 men it'd be a tough job to compensate for that.

1-0: Dreadful clearance attempt by Peck, coupled with a completely non-existent effort to block the shot by BBD.

2-0: Their lad is completely unmarked in the 6-yard area for a tap-in. 3 different players should all share blame for that.

3-2: Tanganga backs off of Adams, leaving him completely free to score the winner. Peck realises JT's error too late to cover, and Donovan is trying to cover 2 men at once. If JT holds position with Adams, we get a draw from that game.

To give credit, we adopted a very shrewd approach from HT with the subs. Took time to kick in, but we managed to abuse a clear weakness of Pompey, in their clear inability to deal with crosses. The lad marking Tanganga for 2-1 was laughably weak, and nobody covering Cannon for the 2nd was just as bad.

We made a mistake in sitting off after we equalised. Had we continued to compete as we had been doing, we would have at least gotten a draw.

Instead, we now have a team who are more tired than they would have been due to playing with 10 men for over half the game. They then have to make a trip back home, to then go back down to Brizzle for the weekend. And to top it off, they're going home tonight (I presume) with fuck all to show for their efforts.

Id absolutely love to see a honest breakdown
Percentage of supporters who want us to lose so wilder gets the sack ...
Against those who want us to win 🏆
...
I must admit I want a fresh start

A superb first goal from them and then Oliver Langford does what Langford does. Great fight back but by their third goal the lads were knackered. Not sure what more we could have asked from 10 men. The subs clearly worked too. Think we all need to get behind the team and the manager and go again on sat. They need our support not hammering from blades fans after every game. We all know what’s happened over the summer and that’s no ones fault but the owners

That's with modifications on the defensive coaching staff as well!

who you going to get to get a tune out of us then who you wanna waste money on

We showed more fight tonight than we have in any other game I’ve seen this season but it still isn’t enough.

Sadly, I just don’t see us getting any better than this under the current management team.

A good manager. There are a few out there, if the owners actually interview some, rather than appointing a numpty like Selles who had nothing positive on his CV. Challinor?

Absolute incompetence the recruitment “process” we followed for the last two manager appointments

Do you still want Wilder as manager, and if so, why?
Easy, his (boards) recruitment and they need to polish this turd. I dont think anyone else can come in now and work with this currents squad, and dont dismiss the injured. It needs to be stabalized with what we've currently got unfortunately.

how can the blame be on wilder when hes lost his 3 most creative players and had no money to sign anyone
But he was clearly allowed to use a decent budget - but we went for Rideweld and Phillips. Opted for a poor BBD. Went for Doherty and then Choudhary, a centre mid to play right back. Ayew signed instead of keeping Marsh.

Yes players were ripped out but his strategy to rebuild has been awful.

This club won’t move on until Wilder goes. However, I’d never want United to lose, ever.
