If it's not back on after the International break I'm thinking it might be summat a bit dodgy's occurring

Used roofing sheets to patch roof at Shirecliffe to stop Wilder complaining.

Bettis put it in the accounts as utilising existing assets

Me neither
For a small , almost negligible fee - in a currency of your choice - BACS , Cash, Luncheon Voucher equivalent , IOU , Weekly Instalments, no interest charges - I can arrange such services via my network (Jansky) , at very short notice in a location suitable for yourself , full cleansing service provided , in real time - all waste disposed of (burying in Jansky’s allotment) - no questions asked .

Just saying

Given that there is still space in the other 3 stands why open the fourth?
One stand is the family enclosure which rules that out for people without kids. There's no seats together in the south stand or corner, so there's only really space in the undesirable bits of the kop with a shit view and no legroom. Having the upper tier available is the difference between some people going or not going.

Apparently they are taking the BLUT roof off as cover for RB. Boom taddy ha I`m here all week.

The delay is waiting for the young pigeons to leave the nests in the rafters, when they appear on the pitch again work can commence. Nothing at all to do with lack of $$$

Probably a bit if a dull answer but there are a few rows of sheeting missing ( or were ). I doubt very much its the sheeting that the work was to rectify and probsbly removed to give access to the structure and the strengthening or replacement of parts.

If these require any fabrication that in itself can take weeks , along with the installation final sign off and replacement or refitting of the panels .

Unlike or counterparts at S6 its probably been done properly rather than with ties, denso tape and a lick of paint .

Quite literally the best "end-on" view in football.
When people refer to "standing on the shoulders of giants"
It always makes me think of the front row of the BLUT and
"sitting on the shoulders of goalies".
You feel like you're hovering over the 6-yard box , it's brilliant.

Can't get upto the roof because the pigeons are on strike ....... We all want some country fried chicken (bo selecta stylee) 🤣

Thought that was Moan? Nope-I saw Longhorn for a second. Just noticed he's not posted for nearly a year, hope he's ok!

Betti's asked for a new roof, but Rosen said we can only afford canopies.
He then went to Batchelors and are still waiting for the answer,,........

Waitrose and Marks always have selections ready. The lads on site would probably prefer a large best +bs while they wait though….

Is there ? Membership day pre General admission yesterday. Friday night on Sky too. Went to buy some tickets and hardly any left for more than 3 seats. Needed 3 or 4 seats ended up letting the website find me some and it picked 3 on Westfield Corner Restricted view !! Tried again for 4 (wasnt sure whether my other son was going so did 4 to avoid the 3 RV) and it found me some in the Family Stand in one section next to Westfield.

I miss the good old BLUT.

I also noticed when I was looking at the upper stand there is a note on there.

It always interested me how the BL end was redeveloped. A new framework was added above the old roof to bridge from the Enterprise centre to the new corner stand, which allowed the old pillars to be removed. Though they never removed the old framework underneath the roof - that just kind of hovers there now.

Presumably the new bridging now takes the weight that the pillars once supported. And if the issues are structural, how the old and new join up would seem a likely source of grief.

Purely speculative!

As mentioned in the other thread, Bettis said that the BL Stand is currently closed for reasons of economy. Work needs to be done but it can wait until next summer.

I wonder if the fan advisory board was consulted before this decision was taken. And also, whether they have considered the fact that some people won't want to shift to a crap seat on the Kop or South Stand and will prefer to spend 50 quid (inc refreshments) somewhere else on a Saturday afternoon. It won't take many no-shows to counter the small savings we make on paying the minimum-wage staff for 3-4 hours.

We have kept this stand open every season since it was built, as far as I can remember, including the many years when we were getting sub-20k crowds. It makes a big difference to have home fans on all four sides of the stadium. A big, empty stand doesn't look good on TV.

Are there any other clubs with a similar stadium capacity (32k) that close a stand if they are regularly getting 25k?

Its a tragedy if the BLUT is out for the season. Although thats a player trend we get a lot. I cant attend every match so getting a ticket on here is a lot easier than elsewhere. The views are spectacular in my opinion and the angle of the seats means young ones do not get a blocked view if someone tall sits in front. Don't get me started on the unique catering experience or the toilet facilities. Just find it strange its not "safe" ?? for our fans to sit under but away fans can still sit there at the bottom. Do they think if the roof falls down it wont collapse the home fan seating tier onto the away fans ? :D

It just seems to be another poor decision made by the board added to all the others.
