Think with the handball rule, it’s been made so complicated now.

They say unnatural position. But unnatural doing what? Who runs with their arms by their side? That isn’t unnatural at all to have your hand out in front of you if you’re running across.

They've made refereeing a simple (to understand) game over complicated.
We had the nonsense of the Man City goal yesterday - had the goal been disallowed without VAR, no one would have questioned it.

Against the grain maybe but thought he was mostly OK.
Sam Mac decision obviously baffling
Their second yellow probably was - but not as blatant as the Bristol City one from last year
Their pen 50/50…I personally wouldn’t like to see those given but don’t think you could complain too much.

This guy was also the ref who gave us the last minute pen also against Wolves in the Premier League which was…ahem a little soft on Starman so he’s still in credit for me

Surely the solution here is that if the ball strikes a defenders arm inside the penalty area then it is an indirect free kick to the attacking team? Takes all ambiguity out of it, punishes a handball but not to the extent of giving a penalty.

I've said it for years now, you don't see indirect free-kicks given in the box as much nowadays. I remember we had one at Boston away in the cup in the early 80s when everyone expected a penalty.
It would give refs an option if the offence is soft and not a clear cut penalty. But then again we are at the mercy of different refs interpretating the laws differently, even with the help of VAR.
