Hecky ...

Like Wilder and like Hecky. Would have been fascinating to see how we would have done when Hecky took us up if we were allowed to spend 30-40m more.

£ 150 million more, like Sunderland and Forest.

Burnley spent £ 70 million last summer after promotion. (read investment)

Whenever you post the font is black.
I use the site on dark mode and I can never read what you've said. There's a few others similar. Not complaining, just making you aware.

If he changed it to a white font I wouldn't be able to see it on a white background.

Edit - I also post in black font, so you won't be able to read this.

Agreed but our last clean slate appointment didn't go too well
The last appointment that got close to a clean slate was Slav but he wasn't given time or a budget for the revolution the club needed. So they sacked him off for Wilder MK2 who just went back to doing what wilder was doing. Rinse and repeat.

A few months after he got sacked I remember him saying (I think it was on talksport) that he spent some time at Leverkusen (when they had Alonso) and Girona (when they were top 4 in Spain) to watch their training methods and learn a bit more about the game. That showed me that this is a guy with no ego who's willing to improve himself as a manager. I miss him.

'Listen' .... And it's highly unlikely that he would work on 'rebuilding his relationship with the owners' behind another managers back if he got the sack/ resigned/ mutual agreement either

I do it in lemon juice and then hold a match under the phone.

Trouble is I keep burning my fingers and there’s a strong smell of burning plastic from somewhere.

I’m sure it was Wilder 1.0, Hecky temp manager, Slav, Hecky, Wilder 2.0, Selles, Wilder 3.0

I meant Hecky was Wilder MK2 as he just reverted back to exactly what wilder was doing. Reading back it wasn't particularly clear!

I've said it before. I wouldn't have him back as manager as he was a very limited manager and his history of sidelining half the team through injury via his training methods has followed him everywhere. That and he was slow to react with subs and made subs after the inevitable happened instead of to prevent it, even then they were baffling like he used a tombola to decide who was going off and coming on.

That said, I'd have him back as Director of Football. He's got a good eye for a player and isn't scared of foreign markets, he knows and understands developing youth products and has good connections at acdemy levels, and he focuses more on coaching and developing players than systems, which is where an expectancy would be to sign a player for £3mil, coach and develop them then sell them for 3-4 times what we paid for them.

He would be the missing link between the academy, the first team and the board and I trust him with money far more than I'd ever trust Wilder.

Think hecky was a much better coach than he was given credit for

Team was solid but front players were very fluid for example v Fulham.i think.we played ndiaye ,berge and gibby white as three tens and destroyed them.
Wilder would never do anything as adventurous or nuanced as that

well he come in to do u21s once so i don't see why he wouldn't tbf dunno how we would sneak the red haired scotsman back but he would do a world of good for our midfielders aswell

I think we should bring Warnock back as Wilder's assistant. Surely we can find coaching roles for Hecky and Blackwell too!

It would be a hostile environment if Warnock had any to do with the club while Wilder is here.

He said, at a fans forum, that Hecky had been telling him that he would get another year contract. Time went on and the season got closer and closer to the end and Hecky ignored his approaches about a new contract discussion. Earlier he had told him he was in his plans but then he just ghosted him. Sharp was not impressed at all. He could have accepted he needed to find an alternative but to be told he would still be here and then tumbleweed, was a cruel way to go about it.

I think many of us remember that somewhat awkward looking conversation between Sharp, Bettis and Hecky on camera at the town hall when we got promoted.
