Wilder said that Philips is a few weeks away from starting but on the old paper it doesn't look bad team. Then again I've said that a few times 🙄

Doherty Tanganga Kitching McCallum

Peck Phillips Arblaster

Donovan Cannon/Bamford BBD

Best team on paper, although I expect a few square pegs in round holes, I've stopped listening to Wilder who can talk for 10 mins and say the square root of fuck all.

Phillips is not ready to do 90 minutes yet, in fact I think we are already using him for more minutes than we intend at this stage.. we can’t afford to break him

Would like to see Doherty start because Choudhury needs to be re taught how to be a right back. We will be much better with Seriki back.

We look better with Phillips but if he started he would likely be done at around 50-60mins.

Think as it stands aside from maybe going 3-5-2 it's a case of just seeing what the coaching staff feel is best. Until we start getting the performances. (Hopefully)

That would be my eventual preferred XI, notwithstanding the current injured players coming back I.e. Seriki.

I think the challenge is perhaps some are not quite there in terms of fitness.

It’s definitely a match to start Doherty.

I may be inclined to play Choudhury instead of Phillips at the start if the latter still not quite ready. Peck I’d play as an 8. Then I’m just toying with having a deep double pivot with Riedewald or continuing with Rothwell.

Phillips, Arblaster and Peck to finish the match.

We'll have to watch Gomez ,as he could run riot, maybe a man marking job for Choudhury or McCallum? Reidewald should be now where near as looks slow and overweight atm
Cooper
Doherty, Tanganga, kitching, RND/McCallum
Peck , Phillips Choudhury/McCallum
Donovan, Bamford, BBD

Id start with Doherty in a back the RB position & KP in a 3 man MF, try and kepp them on for 60 mins

I know I'm being negative, but I have the same sense of foreboding as I did before our last home game against Arsenal. We're going to struggle against any team with pace this season.

We’re very unfancied for this one aren’t we?

Hopefully that works in our favour.
exactly not entirely a free hit for us but very close on paper wolves should win but this might just be the game we get some kind of atmosphere at the lane at long last i think we will get at least a point

I hope for the best, but think it might be a tough couple of hours, and plan for the worst

I've a Beres pork pie for me and my mate at HT, so that and a pint after the match will do us well, whatever the result

They’ll come at us from the off. We’ll lose this regardless but it’s just about how we lose. They get an early goal and it could be a very ugly Sunday afternoon. Jimenez will be licking his lips- despite his age he’s still a premier league striker.
