Version 1: Next season must be better and it will be better. We know what is needed.

Version 2: We have a top wage bill for this division. Its on me to coach this side, to get more out of them. It'll be largely free and loans.

One thing our wisdomous owners haven't considered is, if you sell your top assets and fail to replace them, you are effectively sending your side out to struggle or be stretched most weeks.

If you're hanging players out to dry in that way, they will become disillusioned too and any remaining quality you do have (Tanganga, Cooper, McCallum, Burrows, Peck, Bamford, Campbell) will also risk wanting out.

You've massively shafted us.

It's not a rebuild. It's a sticking plaster to get us through the season. You can't call it a rebuild when half the squad won't be here next season.

It’s a big churn in our senior players. A non parachute club needs a multiyear plan based on a core of contracted players all developing together.

We'll need more players next season than this. It simply can't be classed as a rebuild because the entire recruitment has been solely with the short term in mind. We're just trying to get through the season without going down because of the financial situation and Wilder thinks this is best way to keep us away from danger. I see the sense in it but you can't call it a rebuild.
