Season done, we get rid of….

Since our promotion from League 1, our final positions in Wilder's full seasons are as follows

2017/18 - 10th in Championship
2018/19 - 2nd in Championship
2019/20 - 9th in Premier League
2024/25 - 3rd in Championship
I'm aware you said full season, but 2020/21 can't be omitted just because he abandoned the sinking ship.

That is not going to happen, certainly next season, have you seen the size of wages they are on ?
I haven't actually. But I imagine it will be transfers out (Hamer, Peck, Burrows, etc) and mostly frees and loans in. Wages paid for with transfer funds.

Some of the outgoings mentioned like Matos, Chong and McGuinness are on lengthy contracts and they aren’t very good at playing football.

Finding a home for this kind of player won’t be easy unless we give them away and pay the contract deficit that they’ll incur.

Frees and loans cost a lot of short term money. Out of the lot,I expect only Brooks and Seriki to command some kind of substantial interest and money. Then we have to build a team out of yesterday’s chip paper again. Wilder did very well the first time and dropped on some excellent players, hardly any since. He really has a job on his hands as we haven’t been able to compete with the “better “ sides in this league even with money thrown at it.

Why not start now with the manager?

Good shout, we could use AI to choose a new manager and team, that would propel us to the Champions league.
I think we need to adopt this new model before anyone else thinks to try it.

I know we've used James Bord's algorithm before but his version has several serious flaws.
Ask any Pig fan.

I use my own proprietary algorithm, which has produced so many lottery jackpots for myself I can't believe that the intelligence is artificial.

If only my finances had allowed me to buy those tickets.

As a fellow Blade I'm prepared to share this knowledge with yourself and COH for a nominal small fee.
Just DM me for a no win no fee consultation..
You could have as many lottery jackpot wins as myself.

Alternatively we could just choose random managers Cisco Munoz for example, who has a near 84 % win ratio for his current team, he's only 46 years old so he's in his prime.
He's Spanish so he loves to play the beautiful vertical game that we have dreamed of for so many decades.
My algorithm, has flagged him up as a potential world beating manager.

So what could possibly go wrong..

In the unlikely event that anything were to go off course you could simply start a new manager/team/owners, out, not good enough, thread for some new inspiration and start the cyclical process again.

The algorithm in my head is as yet unbeaten so I can't see any possible cause for failure.
Why the other 86 professional teams are not permanent fixtures in the top 6 seems unbelievable, after all Ai is so simple once you have chosen the correct algorithm.

UTB.

He wasn't here last summer to assemble 'his' squad (see 13 goal Oli McBurnie quote above)
so started with a minimum 6 game catch up programme.

The summer before he was hamstrung with PA trying to sell the club and not wanting to spend any money.

Imagine last years defence with Souttar and add McBurnie to the squad, I suspect we would be top of the league this year, and playing attractive football.

But let's all blame Chris Wilder because it easy.

So yes get some other random manager in and see where we go with no parachute money.

I wanted to get rid of Wilder when we did but never though the owners would have zero plan to push us on.. or a plan that nearly killed us…

Without owners with major financial clout and footballing knowledge, I’ve seen enough from Wilder since he came back to know we’ll challenge the play offs next season if he’s given the nod to clear out and rebuild. Critical to this is keeping the kids, Callum, Cooper, Reidawald, Bamford, if possible Gus, the central defence needs major work, if Souttar is fit get him back, then build around this cord. then get rid of the rest. And a new FITNESS TEAM. Edit I’d also convert Harrison to left wing.

I’m talking reality, not what could have been . Both Wilder last season fucked up and the very naive owners this season. And who said get‘some other random manager in’because I didn’t . Take your Wilder coloured specs off sometimes.

A lot of red tinted glasses worn on this forum, blinkered.

My opinion on Wilder has long been that he shouldn’t have come back for his second spell here. 3rd spell, even more no.

Wilder with money is a shambles. The guy isn’t a tactician either. We didn’t outplay Coventry last night, they let us have possession - Lampard outthought Wilder, you could see clearly that Coventry set up to nullify us and it worked a treat, we couldn’t break em down. They had more shots on target than us with a 1/3 leas possession. Let that sink in to all you pricks having a pop at me for even daring to suggest Wilder should be relieved of his duty.

This club will go nowhere with Wilder at the helm. He’s a man manager, a blokey mate and someone who can put an arm round a player but we’re being left behind tactically with him in charge whilst a new breed of managers and squad comes through.

WILDER OUT.
You know they don’t count shots blocked by defenders as “on target”, don’t you. That stat is worthless in this context.

Get rid of Wilder, bring in Robins from Stoke. He has proven that he can work on a shoestring budget and build a base for a club to move forward.
We are going to be in serious financial trouble with the current wage bill and no parachute payments!
Thought Robins was excellent at Coventry and as a neutral thought Coventry were mugs for getting rid of him, but Lampard has done well. But to my knowledge, that Coventry squad is a Mark Robins squad!
What is it about his record that makes him better than Wilder, though?

Wilder is a liability, a spent force and is clinging on for dear life through desperation and obsession. The ever growing younger generation of managers being successful at other clubs is a testament to this. Time to call it a day!
Who's on this ever growing list?

Sadly I CANNOT see Wilder going.
They would NOT sell Zatterstrom and sign Wilder's journeymen over 30's as they have if Wilder was going any time soon.
They are as clueless as Wilder is with young players or spending money.
They have zero clue as to who to appoint as manager or even what to look for.

Said it before and today again before it was removed.
The next time we are up for sale will be us in Admin when COH walk away after wasting 'enough' funds on the disaster Wilder on the insistence of a moronic press and fan base who 'thinks' he is not the disaster he is.
The WORST manager in SUFC history.
Good morning Selles 😂

If you hadn't have got rid of Wilder after last season there's a good chance you would have strolled to promotion this season. Instead you had a clueless manager who changed the squad with 2nd rate players on the bench and no idea how to win games in the Championship. Now you're back to competing again but without quality replacements.

But there again the Internet was invented for special people like yourself who need to be noticed.

No parachutes….

Wilder goes for me sooner rather than after the season.

Along with;

McGuinness
Tanganga
Mee
Chong
Davies
Shackleton
Soumare
Ings
Ogbene
Cannon

A proper clear out.

Why not start now with the manager?
Wilder - Keep, don’t be so daft.

McGuinness - To who & for how much?
Tanganga - Keep. Shut up.
Mee - Good Experience, happy if we keep or not.
Chong - Again, to who. How much?
Davies - Shame, great but let down by his body…
Shackleton - Agreed. Contract expires, bye.
Soumare - It’s a loan, so oh well…
Ings - Watch him do a Keiffer Moore else where!
Ogbene - Again, a poor loan. Oh Well.
Cannon - Has shown bright spells. Keep.

Keep Wilder and play the same football as this season and get in a better Centre Backs and keeper

Both Wilder last season fucked up

See my comments regarding the lack of support from PA in the summer, PA was more interested in selling the club.
Remember the 2 point deduction? that was because the Prince didn't have enough money to pay the bills.
Wilder needed midfield/forward reinforcement last season but the prince had no money to fund this. That's why we ended playing so defensively.

So when you say "Wilder fuckedup last season" was it not more down to PA.

Or is Wilder just an easy target for some.

He paid £10 million for Cannon and paid huge wages and loan fees,he wasn’t that skint. I will say it again, the football was shite last year and many agree,Wilder has done quite well this season in my opinion but considering the ‘tools’ he’s had at his disposal he probably should do. Good result today and I’m off for a beer in sunny climes.
