I can imagine Wilder suggesting top of the pitch reinforcement means he might be persisting with 4-4-2 and it will be someone who can directly cover BBD.

This means you’ve got Bamford, Cannon, Campbell, Oné vying for 2 spots.

I’d still prefer we go 4-3-3 but that kind of reduces your opportunities for the strikers though, especially if another winger comes in. But I can imagine he’ll have a look at that during the international break.

If Phillips can break into being a starter then perhaps you can function as a two as he is quite robust and can spray it around as well as getting a foot in. Really quite excited to see Phillips getting more minutes. The more he plays the better we will do.

We may well still fashion a 5 at the back away even if this leaves a less than ideal RWB in Choudhury and then depending on who this new signing is, we’ll probably work on other formations potentially.

Norwich got battered against Millwall’s 4-3-3. But I feel from Chris’ last interview he felt more time might be needed to drill a different formation and everyone is well drilled with 4-4-2. They also lost against this formation against West Brom though had more chances and more of the play.

Hope we get the right one. I think we can be better than them if we are on it.

UTB

You don’t have to be a Steve Rosen to see our squad is better suited for a 4-3-3 😉

Think it’ll be a very entertaining game this. Hopefully we can build on the feel good factor from the Bolton game.
Hopefully Phillips starts cos he’s the difference maker! Plus Donovan causing mayhem all across the front line!
Brooksy’s return of course as well.
I’m going 3-1 Blades ⚔️

. We need to tighten up at the back if we're to remain unbeaten, If Bolton had taken their chances we'd have been sunk, bar Coops.
Tight game, let's hope we nick it, utb

Listened to the Pinch podcast last night where it was pointed out that going on XG, shots and possession stats from both teams' past four games, you can't see further than a Norwich win. Our only saving grace is that we have been converting more of our clear-cut chances. This doesn't mean Norwich are nailed-on winners but we need to significantly improve our possession stats and XG. We need to control games better. We need better marking and better runs. We can't rely on Cooper making wonder saves every game.

A Blades win would be fantastic but my head says a Norwich win if there is no improvement from our previous games.

Woken up really excited for today. Not that I am going, or have to spend any money on it... but now window is shut it feels like we need to crack on now!

Come on Blades!

Can see us changing formation and packing the defence today as Norwich seem to struggle against teams in a low block whereas they thrashed Burnley who went to attack them.

5-4-1

……………..…………..…Coooper

Hamza…….Tanganga…..McGuninnes……Kitching… …Mcallum..

Shackleton…..…..Jairo…………..… Peck…………..……BBD

…………………..……..Bamford.

Not the side I’d pick but I can see CW been more circumspect in this one.

Yes, unlikely Wilder will go with the same approach as he did against Bolton.
He made it a loose game and gambled that we'd outscore them with our finishing ability.
It ultimately paid off but only just.
Getting Birmingham vibes for this one.

Not sure why Tyrese is getting the nod as opposed to sure shot Tom Cannon. Why drop him when he's scoring? Tyrese looks like he should be stood with the Jehovah's Witnessess on the Moor so far - not moving and argely ignored by passers by.

Feel free to prove me wrong Tyrese.

Nice to see more optimism on here. Still not convinced we're going to play entertaining football but more convinced we can grind out results. Will be close and hope with Kitchin in we can look solid at the back. Midfield looks as good as we can do right now. Would like to see Campbell be like the first 20 minutes against Bolton but maybe at least 60 minutes. He looked like his old self for a bit. Bamford seems to have lost his shooting boots, hope he found them in training.
Another squeaky bum game...edge it 1-0, would love 3-0 but not that confident......yet

Anyone know a streaming site that still works?

They've become almost impossible to find over the past year or so.

We’ve been torn apart playing 4-4-2 against (dare I say) lesser opposition. So I’m VERY surprised to see us going with that formation again!
Is bringing RND in to handle Brooks the right move? I’m not sure of that either tbh!
It’s good to see Kitching going straight in though I have to say!
Hopefully the forward quartet link up well and get the job done! ⚔️
