It was not the perfect ball by Phillips, Donovan had lots to do and a great goal, but neither Peck or Blaster would have made that pass unfortunately.

Are you trying to say a former England international on 100k+ a week is slightly better than two championship quality players?!It was not the perfect ball by Phillips, Donovan had lots to do and a great goal, but neither Peck or Blaster would have made that pass unfortunately.
No they have had forward passed coach out of them. Peck is still very good and we look worse when he went off, he had his best half of the season. Blaster was just off the pace. 1st half with Bamford dropping deeper into the space O'Hare would have been in, and it changed how we played. Less long balls more through the middle. 2nd half was a shit show and without copper and magic from Donovan this message board would be in meltdown. Are you trying to say a former England international on 100k+ a week is slightly better than two championship quality players?!
Norwood was a decent championship player and he’d have done it - just for contextAre you trying to say a former England international on 100k+ a week is slightly better than two championship quality players?!
Peck was terrible first half included even when they had dropped deep and left space he still managed to ignore forward optionsNo they have had forward passed coach out of them. Anyway thank you for your cheap shot and lack of analysis of what we watched.
I disagree strongly. Arblaster is running away with it ... The drop off when he came on the pitch was unbelievable. Those two are playing a game of whose the shitest......at the moment Arblaster is just edging it.
Agreed. There is pages on pages on Peck on the forum. Arblaster gets away very lightly by comparison. He was indeed completely abysmal today. And looks a long way off the required standard at this moment in time.I disagree strongly. Arblaster is running away with it ... The drop off when he came on the pitch was unbelievable.
The ball from Phillips wasn’t quite in front of Donovan but the lad made no mistake once he moved the ball onto his left foot. Superb finish.
Arblaster really needed a loan to top league 1 side that has a lot of possession and attacking and to be starting every match and playing as many minutes as he can.I disagree strongly. Arblaster is running away with it ... The drop off when he came on the pitch was unbelievable.
I thought Peck was the worse player on the pitch until Arblaster said hold my beer....
Seriously, if he wasn't shagging Wilders daughter there's no way he gets near the team. Rothwell must be fuming.
Both of them need a healthy dose of realism and some serious coaching. Peck especially looks like he's come back from the Summer with a Johnny Big Bollocks attitude which is really going to limit his development.
True. It's an amazing study as to how we can end up with 6 central midfielders and not one of them can carry the ball forwards, shoot or run past their marker....Rothwell is fucking awful too, to be fair.
He wouldn't have won the tackle though just for contextNorwood was a decent championship player and he’d have done it - just for context
Let’s consider that last time he played-at this level he had a DM who dominated and the best player in the division out left and so onSad to see Blaster's decline. Been going on for too long now and hard to say if he needs an arm round his shoulder or a rocket up his arse to shake himself out of his malaise.
Either way he can't go on contributing so little.
That wasn’t my point for contextHe wouldn't have won the tackle though just for context
You'd have to assume that last night against weaker opposition was why Wilder selected the midfield he did. On Saturday against a very strong Norwich side, you'd have to assume Rothwell and Phillips would start with Peck the alternate at the hour mark....Arblaster just turned in one the worst 25 minute performances I have seen for a long while. Looks miles off the player he was pre injury and theres no signs he is getting back to the level..
I’m a big fan of Peck but thought he looked lost tonight and struggled. Phillips is our best
midfielder by a million miles and will be starting before long, hopefully the weekend
You may well be right. I would change the system to 4-3-3. Suits these players and should give us more control in games. You'd have to assume that last night against weaker opposition was why Wilder selected the midfield he did. Think there was 25,000 people in the stadium last night who agreed with you. The phase of play where we were on top coincided with Bamford dropping deeper to receive the ball and thus we could retain possession. For some reason he stopped doing that....You may well be right. Great point. As he's the only one of our cabal of central midfielders who can carry the ball, here's hoping Tufty can tweak to a 4-3-3 and have Peck a little more forward and freer with Phillips and Jairo sat in behind him.Peck had a poor start to last season. It was put down to Selles not believing in defending or using a midfield but his performances weren’t great individually. Giving the ball away, sloppy etc
I think he’s possibly one of those players that needs 5/6 games to get into his groove.
Im sure we’ll see an upturn in his performances again soon, especially when Philips is ready to start along side him.
Keep bumming Arblaster up and now hes Wilders son in law!makes life more difficult for Wilder.Rothwell is fucking awful too, to be fair.
I reckon the tougher games we will see a 4-3-3 maybe Jairo, Phillips, Peck. You'd have to assume that last night against weaker opposition was why Wilder selected the midfield he did. He looked knackered after he scored. Yeah agree but at the time don’t want our best centre forward getting the ball on the half way line, especially when we don’t have anyone from midfield who wants to run past him.Think there was 25,000 people in the stadium last night who agreed with you.
