Clearly, he was recommended by his agent who bigged his client up on reputation, and United being the soft twats that we are, fell for it and went all in blindly. Mainly because they had got themselves into a pickle re the goalkeeping situation by lack of contigency planning. United were very much lacking the '6 Ps' (that were drummed into me when i was a young squaddie). Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance'. United's recruitment team took a short cut and just went with the last 3.

On paper he sounded like a decent bet as a quick fix to our keeper problems. 2nd choice at a top club, caps for Croatia. Can't be that bad?

Yep. So bad he wasn't ever risked for a Championship game. Think he only played once in the Cup he was that bad.

Not quite the worst player I've seen in a United shirt, but the worst keeper...and the biggest gap between expectations and reality.
