Its money the shit owners are after not incoming players!
Of course it is !

If you want rid of these owners - and I'm sure they want rid of us - then in order to sell us , they are gonna have to do exactly what the Prince did in 23/24 ...
Make the balance sheet look attractive to a buyer.

There is pain for us to endure if we are ever to see the back of them.
I dunno if we'll have to tolerate a 23/24 style relegation , but you can shelve any hope of attractive football whilst they find an escape route.

It’ll look even shitter when he leaves for £0, which is 100% what will happen if we don’t sell in this window.

I actually hope we don’t replace him now but Wilder gets told he has £xm in January and he and Holyland have to spend the next 4 months properly scouting and putting a shortlist together, with at least some overseas options.

Poorly researched short term panic buys are what’s got us into this mess
Bang on flecker

Whether if we have another striker lined up with less than a day till the window shuts I don't know, but even if we don't get a replacement in for Cannon hopefully it gives Oné the chance for more game time.

To say our fitness is meant to be better its a bit of a concern that both One and Seriki have got injured in just a handful of matches.

True... but so fckg depressing 😕

Yeah. This is not the hill to die on.

Showing resistance to a player most of the fan base acknowledge isn’t working is not the flex the management perhaps thing it is.
This is the thing with Cannon - it is a decision of the management

Wilder could easily say to the owners 'I can easily do without him - take the money' in which case they'd surely sell?

O'Hare sale is on the owners

Cannon is on management and owners

You'd think Mr Spend The Club's Money As If It's My Own would be screaming at them to take 7m for Cannon wouldn't you? Or have his priorities changed?

The only reason wilder is persisting with cannon is that he’s trying to salvage some pride at having wasted 9m of the clubs money in the first place.

No reason for him to be near the first 11 on form.

Priorities changed, if no-one is coming in, we are running out of player options .
Bamford nor Campbell will stay fit all season.
The one thing that goes in Cannon's favour is that he rarely gets injured.
I just wish this £7M bid had come in a couple of week ago, things could have been very different.
The only way he maintains that level of fee is if he scores another 7 or 8 before the end of Jan.

i think cannon will go today and if we can get 7m for him its a good deal for us but we definetly need to bring another striker in to replace him

I'm suggesting Wilder isn't only thinking about the club. It is no longer his absolute priority to the same extent

What would he have done with Cannon in 2016? He would have ruthlessly cut him loose

Now he's too concerned with his own ego. I don't think Cannon was even his signing, but it's widely reported and considered his, and now he's invested in flogging the dead horse to save face. Yet it just makes him look worse every month

Even though he told the board to get him on loan and not buy him, board saw other clubs wanted him so weighed in and thought they know best

Form being our top scoring striker this season…?

Who are we thinking steps up considering we’re unlikely to replace?

Our goal scorers this season are (in order) Cannon (2), COH (2), Bamford (1), Donovan (1), McGuiness (1).

Even if this is true, which for a second I don’t believe it is. Then why isn’t Wilder now saying “Ha, I told ya so!” To the owners and sanctioning his sale?
If we sell Ohare and keep Cannon when they’re both reportedly available to sell, for the same, if not similar fee, then everyone’s lost the fucking plot.

I doubt Wilder cares about saving face, I doubt he is starting cannon just to win a battle with fans or prove a point

What he can’t do is tell the fans to stfu

Without sounding like a broken record.

Sign player for significant fee.

Player has a torrid wearing the shirt.

Reasons why ?

Perm any from :-

Doesn’t fit.
Doesn’t care.
Isn’t very good 👀.

Club offers significant fee to take him to recoup the bulk of what was paid.

And folks are against this ?

Absolute no fucking brainer and a one off opportunity to draw a line under this which, trust me, will never be repeated.
