Outgoing? Callum O'Hare

I disagree, but we'll see. I think when COH goes it's money we didn't actually expect and we spend half of it at least.
I dunno, I suspect we might have been "expecting" Peck to go, but nowt seems to have materialised with that, so COH and Cannon might be covering that shortfall - only a hunch though

Must admit, that occurred to me as I was writing the post. TBH, I still don't rule out Peck leaving today 🤣

The money cannot be used for that.

The money belongs to the club

They can’t use it to pay a share debt between the former owners and the current owners.
I think the point is that any income from player transfers will reduce, by the same amount, the money that the owners will need to put into the club to pay the bills. SUFC does not on its own earn enough income to pay the bills.

I know you will argue this, but we still have more than enough to stay up (and I factor any potential 12 point deduction into that). We were going to be midtable before COH went, and we'll be midtable now. Possibly could argue the same with Brooks and Hamer in there too.

Losing Deane and your namesake on the same day will go down as one of the darkest days of our club. This is barely a ripple.
I think that closing 3 of our most creative players that were responsible for a high % of a goal creation last season and not replacing them properly will result in a relegation battle and not mid table but time will tell.

We are three points a better off than last season

Hamer leaving was disappointing but not unexpected.

Brooks leaving was annoying because he was one for the future and improving all the time.

O'Hare leaving has just pissed me off a bit though to be honest. Half the time he's the only player making moves and he has contributed to many goals.
The trouble with CO'H, for us, is that the other half the time he's turning into trouble, not taking a shot or getting bullied off the ball. He's a good player, when he's flying he's untouchable but he's struggled for consistency and end product.

Last season he commented that CW had said he wanted greater output, more shots on target. That happened, somewhat, but this season there have already been several occasions where he's opted to look for the cute pass, that failed, instead of pulling the trigger.

If he was better in the areas I highlight, he's an 8 figure player instead of the 7 figures were getting.

No goalscoring threat but at least we keep improving our defence! 0-0 draws from here on for every single game.

Heading back from Scotland after a few nights away, haven’t been able to keep an eye on things so this morning is an eye opener.

These owners really are something aren’t they. Feels like decade of on pitch decline in their short tenure.

I’m intrigued to feel tonights atmosphere, just hope it’s directed at the right people, clearly Wilder won’t be happy with this shit show of a window.

If it’s frees and loans incoming today it’s the beginning of a potentially bleak period for dem blades.

For now, until the points deduction kicks in.

Surely the club wouldn’t allow COH to leave without someone lined up to replace him? It would be madness if we haven’t.

Then again …………..

I was firmly CW IN. Because this season was always lined up to be a shit show and I think he’d keep us up.

But he is losing me with his actions over the summer. Has he shown any inclination to get creativity in? I cant see it, he’s too busy wasting resources on back up centrebacks and 3rd choice full backs.

Like Can anyone tell me What the fuck is Doherty doing here? No offense to the guy but wilders signed him to cheerlead - could his not insubstantial wages not have gone on an attacker?

Wilder seems perfectly content to strip the side of talent, flair, excitement, creativity and goals without seeking replacements.

His perfect 11 based on his signings feels like it would be 5 defenders, 4 defensive midfielders and Tom Cannon.
It wasn't that long ago that we had Seriki at RB, then we signed Gilchrist on loan to play RB, and then used another loan spot on Harry Clarke to play RB. There is absolutely no logic behind Wilder's transfers.

There is something funny about him rightly identifying we had an unbalanced squad when he came in and then proceeding to preside over the creation of an arguably even more unbalanced group of players

There is logic - Seriki can play further forward you see

agree with all of that and have said the same thing just hope we spend some of that 7m

And yet he is still one of our most impactful players.

Surely we’re only going to complete the sale if we get his replacement signed?

What am I thinking, that’s only something a well run club would do.
Like Barnsley will do to us today when we bid for Cleary & they can’t get anyone in to replace him 😆

I completely forgot the best part of this - 3 right backs on the books and he ended up playing DM Choudhury at RB 😂

You couldn't make it up.

It’ll be sad to see Cal go but, I don’t know where he fits in, with how wilder has set us up so far.
