Sounds like there have been several bids. Maybe COH wants away and his agent has been putting feelers out? At the end of the day if the player wants to go then there’s nothing we can do to keep him. Yes we could turn down the offer but then we have a want away player on our hands. Doesn’t alter the board’s responsibility though as they have made a total mess of this window and maybe like us the players are losing confidence in the direction the club is going in.
Same as the complete mess that they made of the transfer window last summer. The one ‘constant’ is Bettis!!!! I hope he’s ready for pelters from the fans on Tuesday night if he dares to show his face.

I think it's a misquote. I think the "along with loads of others" refers to Wrexham bidding for lots of players.

I'm not O'Hare's biggest fan and I think the reported £6.5m is about right for him, but this relegates us for certain. We just won't score goals. He has limitations but he is the only creative spark in the squad.

If he goes now I think I'm done until the owners sell up.

I now know exactly how you must have felt when Foxy liked Maurice Maurice s comment about you!

In that one comment alone, Foxy showed what a fine judge of character he is. Not falling for the foul mouthed shenanigans from posters like Raul but more likely to take on board the well balanced and reasonable views from posters such as, dare I say it, myself.

Now, about this asset stripping, what the fuck does that even mean at a club like Sheffield United where the assets involved aren't worth shit?

Oh just let him go I mean we are awash with attacking Centre Midfielders. The sad fact is we are run by owners who don't give a flying fuck about the team and the fans or the community.
There are way too many Wilder haters on here, but if you think he would sanction this you need your bumps feeling.
Spot on

So we're considering the offer?!

Bettis
"Wrexham have offered £6.5m for O'Hare".

Rosen

"Sell, sell, sell"!

Wouldn't be too bothered if he left at begining of transfer window but now it's a bit daft, literally lost every bit of our little creativity. I would be hopeful of food replacements but very much doubt it.

Also could actually bleed Lamine Sidibe through if this did happen. But also very much doubt it as well.

COH indicated in January he wants away

It wouldn't just be losing COH that would piss me off. It would be this and all the other crap that has been going on. Selling Brooks, Hamer and O'Hare would feel a bit like selling Jones/Birchenall or Deane/Fjortoft. Just like then it would stink of owners and directors saying we have no ambition or plan and we don't give a shit about the team or supporters. I wouldn't blame Wilder if he told them where to stick his job.

If it wasn't for the kids I'd be the same.

We are talking about Wilder who bragged about knowing Ndaiye was the most talented player at the club but doing nothing to actual play him.

I’m probably being too negative given the general atmosphere atm - he has (begrudgingly in some cases) ended up playing young players when he had no other alternatives. So we might see Sidibe…

Brooks (though for some reason he wanted to send him to chesterfield )
Peck
Arblaster
Brooks
Seriki
Osula - I’m sure was lined up to play before getting sold.
Baptist / One - in and around the squad

It wasn’t always the case and I’m not sure he actually trusts them over experienced players…. But you can’t actually knock his current record with youth

I can’t see it can you?

And you know what, I think this season it’s a trade off. They’re trying to get some experienced pros in to make sure we stay up.

However, it’s going to harm the club in the long run.

We are now no longer a parachute club, so we don’t have a financial advantage anymore. Non-parachute clubs are reliant on finding players that either come in on the cheap and impact the first team enough to take them up OR make a big profit on so they can help support the club and sign the next batch of players at the same time.

We are signing players and assembling a squad that’ll will do neither of those things. We won’t be good enough to go up and no one we are bringing in will go on and provide us with a profit because their best days are behind them.

Wolves fans said Doherty’s legs had gone, he was slow and unavailable. He plays 60 odd minutes against Blackburn, isn’t able to start the next game in Seikis absence which forces us to chuck an inexperienced young lad in out of position. We then have to go out and look for another right back - so we go after a 28 year old defensive midfielder who Leicester can’t wait to give away, so he’ll never make us owt either.

if they’d come out and said ‘we are now no longer a parachute club, we need to cut our cloth and work on a 2/3/4 year plan’ and proceeded to look at young players, with high ceiling and potential re-sale value then I think a lot of the fans would have been slightly disappointed but see the bigger picture and been patient and reluctantly accepted 2/3 season of mediocrity for the greater good. We just don’t seem to have a plan for anything beyond this season
. At all.
A bit unfair on Chowdry based on how good he was when he last played for us.

He’s solid and he works hard. He’s available most games.

He also can’t pass forwards.

If he had signed instead of Doherty or at the start of the window and we’d got some creativity then fine. I’d be all for it.

My recollection when he played at RB was that he could and did pass forwards. To whom now I am not sure !!

He looks resigned to losing him, to me. As though he has no faith in these owners. He just can't say it.
Said Twice in the presser if we do sell its loans and frees only so looks like the owners are banking as much as possible
