Problem there is we’ve given the fans very little to get excited about this summer.
Getting knocked out of the league cup against Mansfield would rightly piss fans off even further.

Absolutely not a game to put out fringe players.

Its the real first competetive game of the season which is not mid week, theres zero excuses not to go with out best 11 available. Wilder said as much in his interview.

We need to go out and give them a pasting for what happened last season vs them in cup.

The money in the league cup is tiny tbf. Fa cup later rounds or a big away day slightly different

Pretty much same team as I mentiomed in tbe match day thread apart feom I decided to go rothwell and arblaster as I feel those two would be able to control the possession better and more forward passing.

Also they impressed a lot more vs Bochum than the other two pairing.

I also went with cannon due to him playing/starting every game so far in pre season and hopefully get him some goals early on will help (even though I dont agree that cannon should ever start on his own).

With Hamer going not sure you play 4-2-3-1 with the current personnel, so we’ll probably go 4-4-2 and with a much worse XI, despite it being a great opportunity to open the season with a win.

Thought maybe he meant Baptiste with his step up in pre season? Not sure though only heard it passing by.
