Ndiaye Sell on?

Don't we get a cut of all transfers of academy players regardless of sell on clauses and how many moves? It's not much mind

Maybe but had OM actually sold him to Everton for a profit we would have got a nice chunk of money in the summer of 24.

Marseille didn't include a sell on clause when they sold him Everton, they can't have rated him that much to not include one. It's not like they made much money (any?) on what they paid us.

Marseille are just fucking muppets.

Not sure I totally agree. It's a shame, but his agent seemingly tried to drum up interest for a footballing upgrade (reports of Man Utd & Liverpool interest) and nobody took the bait.

If he concludes therefore that he's gone as high as he can (he is 27) and his next contract will be at his peak value, then I can see why he'd choose to cash in.

The money will be astronomical and generational to him and his family.
A few years ago he was at Boreham Wood.

He's already set for life. The Sheff Utd Ndiaye just loved playing football but he'll be forgotten in a year.

He might be 'set for life' but there's a huge difference between his NET income on a UK contract with Everton and a Saudi (tax free) contract with Al-Hilal, along with signing on bonus.

The lad and his agent are only in it for the money, good player, but never would have stayed with us, despite the fawning over him, hardly set the world on fire yet, glttl, but money obsessed

Agent has been very good at maximising Iliman’s (and his own) earnings at the expense of his footballing potential. Had he stayed with us in that PL season, despite how poor we were, he’d have been at a big six club already. The Marseille move cut his ceiling and this Al-Hilal deal is probably too good to pass up.

That’s his second bad decision…What’s wrong with this kid.
I am confident that you would do the same if offered to you.

Professional football careers are short lived. Players take the best deals they can and so they should. A career ending injury is always a real possibilty.

He'll be worshipped over there as he always puts a shift in.

He's set for life when he signs that contract no matter what happens in the future.

Good luck Ili 👍

This thread is fucking desperate.....
Everything that's wrong with a tin pot club ....
Are we really this club ffs

Yes, it's usually about 1% depending on how long he was in the academy etc. If he goes for £75m we might actually get a few hundred thousand which would be nice.
A few
What you on about ???
We are scrounging about for a few grand ?
Ultimately this will be swallowed up by the owners so it will have Zero impact on your life .......move on ffs

Yes, I did initially hesitate when writing that post. But Illiman would be set for life wherever he goes, and it would be sad to see him leave the Premier league just on the cusp of outgrowing Everton.
