I think the lack of mention to Wilder says it all........?

Felt the same, didn't think we'd get promoted next season but thought we'd give it a go and be vying for play-offs. We're gonna have to make a marquee signing to replace Brooks and get fans back on side, a Jack Clarke type player.I expected us to stagnate, I didn't expect us to be in with a shout of promotion, barring some surprising spending and ambition...but losing our most promising youngster and a key attacking player to Norwich for Fucks Sake... Should we be worried? Just how fast are we falling??
Jack Harrison wouldn't surprise me one bit. Ticks all the boxes for Wilder.Brooks was gradually turning into the footballer we needed. It’s a shame but I am sure we will replace him with Jack Harrison maybe, unless he’s not 30 yet.
Femi will be gone, not a big loss feel it could be Shackletons break out season.
Andre Brooks has departed Bramall Lane for Norwich City after the two clubs agreed a substantial undisclosed fee.
Sheffielder Brooks progressed through the club's famed academy structure after joining aged eight, making his senior debut against Burnley in November 2022.
He played 20 times the following season in the Premier League and then played a major role as United reached the Championship play-off final in May 2025.
Last season he netted six times in 41 appearances in all competitions and also received international recognition after being capped by Jamaica in March 2026.
Brooks departs Bramall Lane after making 96 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals.
Currently injured?Jack Harrison wouldn't surprise me one bit. Ticks all the boxes for Wilder.
They sold Sargent for 25 mill for a startWhat I don't get is not the selling but who we sold him to: Norwich for crying out loud!!!
Forget the $20m that has been thrown around, Norwich won't have that kind of money to spend plus there is no way Brooks is going to progress playing for Norwich.
So, whats the REAL story behind this sale?
toledo
How is it we always sell with Undisclosed refers to the fee. If he made £50 million i bit it would have been disclosedI always get a bad feeling when it says ‘undisclosed’ … I would say £6 - £8 million should do it ? Possibly a bit higher ?

Isn't this the direct opposite bettis said earlier this year they had another year option meaning we didn't HAVE to sell this year?Club far too slow re renewal of contracts. Nothing has been learnt since Ndiaye.
I'd be shocked to see Shackleton play for 5 minutes.Brooks was gradually turning into the footballer we needed. It’s a shame but I am sure we will replace him with Jack Harrison maybe, unless he’s not 30 yet.

A fast improving player who had a really good season and would have kicked on even more this season.
Norwich have got a gem
Perfect!Currently injured?
This is worse than any McCabe sale. Even he didn't stoop this lowEven if he wanted out, and let's hope that there some unique circumstantial factors to explain this - other than us being in free fall - even if, his potential is huge. His development in the last 12 months was significant. He's a real promising talent. At the very least you exploit that and start a bidding war, hopefully with Premier League clubs.
Not fucking Norwich. How fucking McCabey do we want to be?!?
The 'Undisclosed' bit concerns me.
Has anyone checked to see if Kevin McCabe is still hiding in the boardroom somewhere?Heard it all before. Save your reactions to selling Ndiaye and Berge for the end of the window. Beattie, end of the window. Naughton and Walker, save it for the end of the window. No I don't think I will.
All evidence points to us being worse off when we sell our best players. Every single time.
I'd prefer a professional footballer to be able to use both feet tbqhHopefully we have our eye on a right footed, right winger to take his place.
Religious reasons??Been rumours Wilder's not been keen on him for a while, possibly for religious reasons.
To be honest, I've been a bit disappointed with his development. He looked a real star when he broke through in the Premier League in a really shit team, but since then hasn't really pushed on.Even if he wanted out, and let's hope that there some unique circumstantial factors to explain this - other than us being in free fall - even if, his potential is huge. Put your house on sale. Start a bidding war with Elon musk, the Saudis and China. Got it. Easy. Dunno why I didn't think of that.Even if he wanted out, and let's hope that there some unique circumstantial factors to explain this - other than us being in free fall - even if, his potential is huge.
