Something we've overlooked - rebranding the stadium

Obviously can only take the below with a pinch of salt but if correct, the Stadium name rights isn't that a big cash boost as you would expect. Especially when on a matchday you are reaching how many 10s of 1000s and then on TV the millions watching. Although £50 million per season isn't anything to be sniffed at, this is for exclusive shirt and stadium sponsorship of a stadium that is nearly double the capacity of Bramall Lane and is at a club usual in Champions League/Europe and towards the end of most cup competitions.

For a name changing and shirt rights, I genuinely think we would be lucky at £20mill a season if we were in the Premier League and sustainable for the foreseeable, we would also have all our eggs in one basket so to speak. Yes you could say that allows us 1 average player purchase a season however we probably need to be looking at other ideas. Most of the naming rights deals go undisclosed and even the ones that are mentioned it isn't such a huge cash boost.

No. It’s just to help new players find us when they walk up from the station or the postie to drop off the forms when the fax m/c stops working.

A most important distinction. The post will still get lost though.

Shoes off in carpark if they try to rename it.

I wouldn’t be against a re name - might change our outlook on things
and help us move on and modernise , at pace .

I’d go for something along the lines of

The Chrissy ‘Appeh’ Wilder - Punters Arena

Thats not really moving on though is it.
How about
Local Ground For Local People.

I am not sure how good our marketing/corporate teams are that bring in sponsors, since we struggled with a main shirt sponsor. Usually you go down a few routes it's either a such as

Local education institution- such as University of Sheffield Stadium (small income)
Local authority - Such as South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority/Visit Sheffield - Options like Visit Sheffield Stadium or using the Crucible Theatre to promote
Collaborations of businesses or individuals - More income spread across more people - The Steel City Stadium (not a clue)
Collaborations of fans - More income spread across more people - Bramall Lane Stadium - Would work in a similar way to shares/incentives "leasing a piece of BTDBL"
A big local business - Insight Direct (UK) Ltd - A software IT business Based in or Henry Boot PLC

How much do stadium sponsors pay? I would be fine if they wanted to stick a sign up saying "Go Compare Stadium" or something if it meant we could hang on to Sydie or Gus. Of course everyone would still call it Bramall Lane.

Who were that crowd of visitors for the Wrexham match I think - where even Wilder was dressed up in a suit? Potential investors that may include Stadium branding? I’ve no idea but at the time that visit seemed significant.

Consultant psychiatrists looking for the recruitment team.
Wilder was trying to merge in with them so he couldn't be found.

It’s usually about 10p a lap

What about this? It's quite appropriate and fits in with the Hollywood theme...

Disney execs - Wilder spruced himself up in case he gets on Welcome to Wrexham.

As has been said, we - and other fans - would always call it Bramall Lane.

The main problem for me is when newspaper reports run out of synonyms for each team and end up writing things like: “…but things changed in the second half when the Webuyanycars.com Stadium outfit forced a corner against the run of play”.
How about the "Webuyanyoldshite Stadium"🫣

I only noticed recently Birmingham changed theirs to St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park as part of their owners getting extra money in.

Nobody is going to call it that in full are they?!
