Not quite.....the patron saint of Milan is Saint Ambrose, but confusingly he has the same flag as Saint George. They had a punch up in a medieval pub carpark about it once.

I think so, doesn't that go for one of the Milan teams too?The red and yellow stripes are the colours of Catalonia.
Were they founded by an English person?
Indeed. Ambrose accused George of being a mythical construct who had no empricial existence. George called Ambrose a cunt.
I don't know if anyone noticed (or I'm late) but at some point the club updated our crest. It features a white stroke, more even proportions, simplified handles on the blades and neater typography (nicer writing).
The new badge first appeared on our 2012-13 macron kit.

Above I've attached a comparison of the old implementation and the new version. Curious to see if anyone even noticed there was a change.
The typography hasn't really changed - same typeface, same weight, same tracking but slightly smaller for a more balanced layout.
The rose is basically the same as well, it's lower resolution than the image of the old badge so you can't see the detail.
Bit of a pointless re-work, apart from the white stroke it's essentially the same.
If it ain't broke...
I think the rose has changed significantly. thick line, the thorns have been reduced, no detail in the centre.
It basically doesn't look like a rose anymore.
A while ago I thought it would be a good idea to make a logo for the Scandinavian Blades, but the idea stranded when I found this was the best I could do:

Thorns definitely are slightly smaller but it's hard to say if the rest is different without seeing it in full resolution.
I believe Barca were founded by an Englishmen and a Spanish geeza
It's already been made clear we're not having a 'dislike' button, so there's nothing to test!
If they ever take the Yorkshire Rose out that's me done!
Seriously though why would you? The white rose is my favourite part of the badge.
They were founded by Arthur Witty (English) and Hans Kamper (Swiss). The Swiss fella had much more of an involvement and is considered the main founder. He even 'Catalonianised' his name to Joan Gamper. They play a friendly tournament to this day called the Gamper Cup.
Valencia are also Catalans and both Barca and Valencia have been known to have "Catalan kits"

St. George is the patron saint of Catalonia.
I imagine BOS was being facetious mentioning Bradford and Palace but just incase...
The Yellow/Red stripes is the flag of Catalonia.
The english flag is the flag of St. George
The blue/red stripes are Barcelona's colours.
I remember after England played Spain in Madrid and all the racist chants were aimed at our black players, one of the english clubs played Barcelona the following week and Barcelona fans held up boards showing the St. George flag on one stand, the catalonia flag on the other and the words "Catalonia is not Spain".
They do this quite often and many see themselves as Catalans not Spaniards. I know a lady who lives in Barcelona and she "claims" she didn't cheer when Spain won the World Cup. Apparently it's a massive thing around that area of Spain. They want independance.
