Stick to reporting about Wednesday biggsy, the one you really love 😉
Presume the press buffet has been significantly streamlined in these straitened times down the old theatre of rust. Must be haunting poor old Biggsy that he can’t get free scoff anymore, which was no doubt supplied by a local firm on credit and now out of pocket!.

Player of the season for me.

He's been far more consistent. For me, he (and we) should do one more year.
I think he'll improve and we'll get better value... and for him, he needs to be "the man" next season. He's still growing as a player and he needs the games... he should push himself to hit close to 20 G/A next season.

Wrong time for him to leave. Same goes for Seriki.

Peck is different. He's had enough games, his value should be where we need it to be and it feels the right moment. Will miss him, but I think we could be better off (on balance) if we reinvest those funds wisely.

Wilder mentioned he got injured in post training shooting drills as he is working on his finishing. It's something he needs to improve on to go up a level.

I still see the chance he missed in the play off final replaying in my head. I haven't rewatched highlights of that game but from live I still am gutted he didn't take it.

He’s 22, probably a good 4 years off his peak.

Huge chance, that I'm confident JRS would've buried.

Brooks is a better player than then and I think he'd bury it, but - as you say - it is an area he needs to work on to take the next step. He has the tools though, he's scored some crackers for us.
Just needs to get the reps in at this level and then push on.

I fear he’ll be off in the summer. He deserves a chance to fulfill his potential in a higher quality coaching environment. Lot of similarities to David Brooks in that respect.
His injury might stop that.
MCL someone said.

He needs games to push on and sitting on the bench in the premiership won't do that.
Another contract will suit him and obviously us,
He can be a really exciting player ! He's a Blade and hopefully not chasing the big money just yet.

While I would generally agree with that (his peak), I have noticed that when reading the "Gossip" about which players, from home or abroad, that Premier League clubs are scouting, the average age of the player seems to be about 23.

It started to make me wonder if clubs, managers, scouts, etc., see that as the ideal age to sign a young, professional footballer. Bring them in around 23, give them a season or two to really reach their potential and then have three or four good seasons before moving them on?

Obviously some players develop earlier than their peers, and some later.

Peck is only 21, I would love him to stay here another season, but can understand the club wanting/needing to cash in.

Brooks is 22 and Seriki is 23, so will be on the "list" of players to scout, for other clubs, no doubt about it.

If Brooks can improve his finishing, then his value will rocket, he needs to take a leaf from Sydie's book, yesterday and start letting the shots fly from outside the box, not walk them in. Maybe it's a confidence thing.

I agree with all of this, but not taking shots from outside the box is because they are instructed not to. I’m not by any means blaming Wilder for that, it has become the norm for many clubs and it’s one of the reasons the game has become more boring.
