Should we mine Leicester for signings?

I am not sure who I would want out of that side but the fact they have downed tools this season as a side, isn't really a reason to right them all off. Individually, in a different squad, they will be different players. Look at Choudhry last season for us, this season doesn't make him a bad player.

Not proclaiming Wilder as the messiah, but I wonder if they had gone for him as their manager last summer how they would have done...

The issue they have is the players will need to work out whether they want to get themselves promoted in L1, or reduce their wages to suit.

They are contracted so they don't need to go anywhere else.

I think they've all wanted out for a while tbh, if they have downed tools it's probably because they think it'll be easier to get sold after a second relegation.

Their salary 'expectations' would be too high I would suspect. Fatuwa and Mavididi would be the ones as were on fire under Maresca when they got promoted 2 years ago.

Soutter is the obvious one but not sure on his contract situation and maybe one they would want to keep for League One.

Two very poor managerial appointments and rank bad attitudes from players have done for them - as well as the points deduction.

They would have been better with Wilder or Rohl and both were available, and probably gone for someone better than Rowett mid season.

On huge money so no.

states that there is a player in the Championship on wages reduced by relegation to £90K per week
My guess is it is Leicester as they are the one of the three with continuous Prem status and a history of winning
The none descript Choudhury - who had two good games at SUFC in half a season including the win at Hillsboro - is said to be on 45K which was said to be or single top wage in the Prem when Wilder stropped out last time.
(one on 45 one 40 and Brewster 30K source Alan Biggs)
Are YOU out there who thinks this is somehow possible the one offering to pay it?

I doubt we're in the market at that level next season. We've got Phillips on favourable terms. That one might happen if Man City will play ball again (personally see them/him getting a better offer).

Berge was comfortably our highest earner in the Prem. He took a smaller cut in the Champ than other players which is the reason we were so desperate to get rid. Biggs knows less than my cat (I don't even have a cat). Leicester are desperate. They'll take what they're given. They might even dance with clubs early in the window just to save a few weeks wages.
