A few minutes into the second half and we all knew what was coming

This is Wilders mindset and negative game plan, if indeed he has one. What the F is he doing or saying at HT or have they stopped listening to him?

Said before that 2016-20 Wilder was incredible but version 2 and now 3 are a million miles from it. He knows it and we can all see it too.

We're going nowhere with him. I note that he's again rolling out the same lines about a strong end to the season and next will be 100% better. Cliché Chris in full flow but can't back it up on the pitch, and from the man who bought Cannon and Hoever and can't get his players fit.

He's damaging his legacy now because his ego can't let go of being the boss of 'his' club no matter the cost to 'our' club.

On the day Newcastle scored their 13th goal v us ( over 2 matches) in April 2024- Chris said ' we will be where we want to be next season' and in a way he achieved it with a promotion push last season- didn't he?

I don’t blame him too much for this season. Die was cast sacking him and replacing him with selles. Shit pre season and unfit players who can’t last a game - some awful signings he inherited - matos, mcguiness, ogbene, Barry, and losing Moore, not re-signing mcburnie. Never understood why we bought Ings either !
He has had to best what he got. Don’t get me wrong he’s also signed some shit but at least he bought in some players in position that we desperate for in bamford and rideweld - both of whom were not fit when we got them so no complaints.
I think the players know playoffs out of reach weeks ago and so along either some players only lasting 60 mins we never look like we can get 100% up for it when backs against the wall in games
I think playoff final and selles taken far more out of players than we realise.
Time for a big clear out - and need to quickly decide who is up for next season and play them in their natural positions

End of July 2026. Blades still made no signings. No kit in shops til September. Pre season strolls at Sheffield FC and Doncaster. Lads looked great at Sheffield FC.

I was in the ‘home end’ tonight, a friend, for some reason wanted it that way.
A loathsome set of of home fans. They really are revolting.
Applause for the loud and impressive United contingent that had to put up with those brain-dead, pie-munchers.
Loathesome - falls far short of how appalling and annoying they are.
As someone has said, we edged the first half.
God now’s what was going on in the second. Just let the opposition come on to you in wave after wave.
Seriki should have simply cleared the ball, but we all knew what was coming.
I said to the verbally challenged idiot next to me at half time, that he had no need to worry as we would now defend, pretty woefully as it happened.
He merely grunted. Not sure he could speak. Then again he supports the canaries.

Tell us more. Sounds more entertaining than the match. I recall around 2019 their intelligentsia were spamming this place like fruit flies round a jam jar. Thankfully it's stopped .

Chris was brilliant first time round. The very obvious fitness issue and inability to change or manage games is all there to see, in the key games and PO final, now this season.

Well the result was in doubt but entirely predictable.

A truly AWFUL manager causing the defeat yet again by appalling selections formaticns and game tactics
EVERY GAME in this worst ever second division is clearly there to be won with a good manager and this squad.

Why Burrows was STILL expected to provide the attacking width with both left footed Chong and then Brooks over there is beyond me.
No doubt Seriki will be blamed for the defeat again - but it is the ENDLESS brain dead sideways and backwards passing that causes all the problems.

Pollster I totally agree with you in respect of Burrows, and I've said this before Burrows is left exposed nearly every game either with Hamer drifting to MF or as last night COH drifting all over the place. If you look at the right side you've got Seriki/Brooks and more recently Chong/However on the left side Burrows were just not balanced.
Peck/Riedewald played ok but with a 2 man MF were over run in the
2nd half at times.
Cannon was OK in the 1st half putting himself about with Campbell imo no where to be seen he's lazy sluggish and shows no signs of intrest.
The only 2 players that come out with any kind of credit is Bindon/Tanganga.
It was once again a fcking shit show.

Can't help thinking Wilder learnt from last summer. He's been given a target to stay up. Pretty much achieved it.
No point in pushing the team for playoffs and likely losing them again to frankly better sides courting another sacking as the board decide that's under achieving.
