Year out and no pre-season. Came in when he was needed and didn’t disgrace himself. Pretty commendable if you ask me - let’s hope normal service returns next season.

No, you said we liked/rated him just because he was one of our own.Ah yes, a few Port Vale fans thought he was world class based on 20 decent games in League One, that's that proven then.
Last season I'd agree with this but he's massively improved on those things now. He's scoring more and getting into great positions. But it's the killer pass I think he's really added. He takes way more risks with forward passes and trying to break the lines. He often plays the ball that opens it up in the final 3rd even if it's not the actual assist.Peck can’t score…..zero composure in front of goal and struggles to even hit the target, noticed he has loads of shots blocked.
Whereas Arblaster had a good habit of coming up with goals…..think he has/ had more power in his shots and he was good at hitting the target.
Also Peck never does killer passes whereas Arblaster could.
What is this obsession with loaning youngsters out to league one. ?I see so many comments suggesting we need to give him space to get back to his best after such a long injury outage. But what is that? He showed promise pre-injury but nothing more than that and let's face it he's way off the pace at the moment. A year out on loan in league one will determine his future but if we're serious about the rest of this season he's nowhere near the team we can play.
I still think Arblaster will score and create more, but right now Peck as certainly upped his game in both departmentsCompletely disagree with this, 3 examples in the last 2 games as proof:

This must have been a mirage….

My dad said Mick Jones easily the betterWho was better Mick Jones v, Alan Birchenhall?
Stop talking sense. It has no place herePointless judging a player just after a one year injury. You get muscle wastage in your legs after that long and it takes months and months to build them back up.

Getting a player to match fitness after a long term leg injury is one thing, reversing muscular atrophy is another. It's very difficult to gain muscle mass in a short period of time, particularly when a) professional footballers also have to do immense amounts of cardio and b) Arblaster will need to be conservative with hypertrophic exercise to not blow his knee out again. It takes time, be patient. At what point do we stop using that as an excuse? The players are working with experts in sports science and rehab every day so surely we either shouldn't be risking him or he should be a lot closer to the player you think he was before the injury?
He was, no doubt on that.My dad said Mick Jones easily the better

SwissBlade - the old League One loan rears it's head again!!I see so many comments suggesting we need to give him space to get back to his best after such a long injury outage. But what is that? Absolutely zero benefit for a lad of his ability and experience. He doesn’t need league one, he needs timeSwissBlade - the old League One loan rears it's head again!!
Yes, let's loan our potential best midfielder out to the pub league where he can train with inferior players at inferior facilities with inferior coaches.
That should set him just reyt!!
Two different types of players Jones& sherman. Both brought quality to the side, some say best 2 strikers in the division at the time.My dad said Mick Jones easily the better

Brighton's scouting department liked him before his career threatening injury and you didn't. I know which one I'll take notice of.
This hasn't aged wellAlso Peck never does killer passes

I can only repeat what I said earlier really. You can be physically fit enough to engage in football whilst still suffering from muscular atrophy, which will impact the quality of play he is currently capable of. Is he fit to play, yes. Is he physically in the same condition he was in 15 months ago? No. Should be be playing? That's a question of team selection. There's no inherent medical issue with selecting him.OK, but the club felt it fit to throw him back into the first team squad and to expose him to the rigours of Championship football, surely we wouldn't do that if he's at serious risk of blowing his knee out again? I'd much rather have a fully fit player out there, or one being very carefully managed to negate the risk of a further serious injury but something doesn't stack up then. Is he or isn't he fit enough for Championship football, or is he still crocked and this is the best we're going to get?
Oh and apologies but one more question, when it comes to regaining muscle mass, what's a short time versus a long one?
They use laptops and stuff like that, their scouting must be bollocks
Think we'll see that's what is going to happen...In my mind Blaster is the natural replacement for Sydie…Simple as.
