If we do play 4-2-2-2 then Brooks and O’are are good at pressing and you’d hope Hamer and Chong can supplement.

It leaves a lot of players that we simply have no need for -

Soumaré is already on loan to us. Not sure he’s a reliable starter. Possibly ok as a bench player but if we have Riedewald, Peck, Arblaster and Rothwell, is there any space in the matchday squad? Matos needs to be loaned to develop.

Agreed. Jairo, Blaster, Peck, Rothwell along with Soumare as an option is a good mix of midfielders.

Yup, that works for me, but I do worry about him being stuck in a fruit tree.

This got quite a big outing at WBA, pretty loud. And funny.
Must admit after getting all the way through to 12, I wasn't so keen to do another 😂

No Phillips or Rothwell and a combination of Peck and Arblaster bares not even thinking about 🙈

Soumare seems to be better off the bench than as a starter.
 
Hopefully fit enough to start , maybe the thinking on Sunday was simply why risk it as we had enough cover , just give him a few more days.

If fit the obvious choice is him and Peck , at present I'd rather have soumare as back up than Arblaster , not a pop at the lad but needs to find his form .

Wilder on YouTube presser said he has been training and is available and the aim was for his to be available for tomorrow rather than on Sunday

I can’t see him being ready to start tonight after a decent lay off.

I’d play Soumare and get 2/3 of the lads to double check his boots are ok the right feet before kick off.

Bring Jairo on for the last half hour to get some mins back in those legs.
