Will we send Wednesday down?

I doubt anything will be resolved before next week, but the likely outcome is the point's deduction for Leicester remains as it is. The key result for me is Coventry beating WBA, then it is down to us on Sunday.

Can't see them withholding the the 'R' pending any appeal. They will do it based on the current table - maybe with an asterisk by Leicester's name.

I dunno about you but I really don't care that much about 'relegating' them on our patch, they are completely down and dusted anyway so it feels a little hollow to celebrate.

What I would care about though is taking the opportunity to really hammer them. Give them a historic thumping. We did have a chance to do this earlier this season and many of them felt lucky to escape at 0-3. In the context of our ongoing will we/won't we make the playoffs season an opportunity to run up our goal difference may really count. Problem is they lose every week but they aren't getting hammered four or five all the time and nor are we beating other teams four or five. Would have to step our game up to crush them.

Correct ! Pompey winning tonight confirmed that WE ONLY NEED A DRAW if it goes to Sunday.
You're looking at this all wrong.

"We only need a draw" - no we fucking don't. We need a win to chase down 6th place.

Posts like that back up what the pigs say about us - "Hate Wednesday first, love United second"

All I care about is 3 points. If we relegate them in the process, fantastic

So if WBA don’t beat Coventry tomorrow then we send them down Sunday with a draw/win.
Superbly simple and realistic. It'd be delicious. Though would start to tempt fate that we'd capitulate under pressure.

Blades 0 - The Presence 3.

Though it's fun fantasising about sending them down, maybe we should just concentrate on doing the necessary and making sure we pick up 3 points.

There is a whacking big banana skin here if we lose concentration.

Wednesday have lost every single one of their last 10 games in League and Cup.

They haven't scored an away goal since playing at Ipswich on 20 December.

We should walk all over them.

But if they were to even pick up a point we'd never hear the end of it.

Sounds like pre match nerves to me.

I have to agree with Jon B some blades are massively over confident, I’ve never known United fans be as confident going into any game never mind a derby, it’s the kind of confidence they had going into bouncing day.. it’s getting me worried

Look at the ingrediants, it’s natural for us to be confident based on their squad, their form, their situation, we’re at home, Wilder in charge etc etc. I’m not saying we’ll get 4, 5, 6 but I think we’ll win and 3pts is all that matters at the moment to keep on the finest of PO tails.

I presume the current 49points between us and the 45 goal difference is another record for when we've been in the same division. Not good enough, could we at least target a 100 goal difference before the season ends :D
