Enjoy Andre Brooks

Wilder praised both again this weekend, and said how well they’d been doing. Hardly seen a comment on it on here of course by those claiming he management of the pair was based on something other than football.
Wilder was publicly critical of Brooks and Seriki and to lots of people, me included it seemed wholly unnecessary and a bit odd. It happened. Doesn't make him racist or anything. But he's always had players he likes more than others, just who he is.

Do you think he did it to get the best out of both players, which he has?

They are both playing well. I have no idea if it was necessary for them to be called out publicly, if it was, fair play. I do hope the things I've heard about them not having a great relationship are either nonsense or completely behind them (that came from the agent of a fellow United player, not a random rumour from X).

I do think, if Wilder had stayed in the summer, he'd have signed players to start over them both.

Deano did not learn at the same rate as Brooks has. Deano came in and started smashing it from day one.
Very poor comparison IMO.
That's bollox
He progressed as we went through the leagues ,he was a very different player when we were in the premier League ( div 1 ) than the one who joined us in div 3

I think Andre Brooks recently said “The gaffer knows what he’s doing” fairly unequivocally when asked in an interview.

The reality is the only thing we can look at is output on the pitch as a barometer of his man management of the pair and both have been outstanding. Everything else is fan fiction.

Some heavily implied racism or maybe he didn’t like religious types, or those that didn’t drink.
Doesn’t make the point any less valid that he’s praised them in the last few weeks yet there’s no comment about it on here.
There seems to be a lack of perspective and balance to his treatment, while he gets the best performances out of them.

As with almost all footballers, I'll argue that for the most part they get performances out of themselves and it'sa managers job to try and add the 1% here and there. I give Wilder credit for giving them the freedom to play well. I don't think his criticism in public is a big reason, that's all.

No it's not bollocks. Deano smashed it from day 1 in div 3, took that into div 2 and then into the top division.
No nurturing, no needing games and zero relative similarities to Brooks.
You picked a shit comparison so own it.

He scored a hat trick in his 5th appearance. He got better as he aged but I think it was just natural experienced based progression. He was pretty fuck8ng great first up
